It's all so very confusing.
Haha, word. I wasn't upset about how he played (it's just exhausting), I was upset he quit like a bitch after all my work.
I understand man, I was just making a random statement.. Watching that set made me tired, from both your perspectives, lol. I respect anyone that mains Gief, Ive played him a handful of times and he's enjoyable to me to 'visit' but I cant imagine the game as a whole from his perspective.

Well, the struggle to get in is just Capcom Grappler life. But yeah, this game is frustrating because people can run and zone me OR bash my face in with equal aplomb. Besides CA, most characters have nothing to fear.

I'm just such a whore for grappler characters, lol. Zangief, Birdie, and Alex. I really think I'm going to learn Dictator though, because this will be his last game and I love the character.

Ive always liked grapplers too, but my preference for fast, mobile characters overrides my like of snatching someone up. I am a huge fan of hybrid grapplers though.. Like Necalli and Vega.. I wish Capcom could just remove the stereotype glasses they seem to like wearing, and design a true grappler based around speed and mobility.. I guess Abel was kind of that in IV.. but Shrug.

HOPE, YOU FEEL ME WITH HOPE!!! Lol. I hope so dude. If we just have to switch to anything then cr lp xx lariat, I'm all set. Maybe we can whiff punish now? LK into lariat? Damn you Capcom, you better help us.

I'll have to go back and re-read some, but I was pretty sure they said st.lk into lariat will always combo.

I'm surprised they said that cr.lp won't combo into st.lk anymore. Because at psx I think UltraDavid said u could do cr.lp cr.lp st.lk lariat. Maybe this is still being toyed with?

Also UltraDavid mentioned someone from capcom told him there'd be no tech roll after lariat so... I'm not giving up hope this will be a thing. At least as a combo endern (not an AA).

These changes aren't final so keep your big, neckless heads up, comrades :)

Also, we have more frame adv on some normals based on that list. And more stun off of st.hp and bear grab. It looks like they want us to be more mixup oriented and more aggressive at seeking stun?

Gief reads will have to be more on point than ever.

Ok. So... damage control.

The frame adv. buffs on our normals will make us much scarier up close. With the meter build on headbutt we don't HAVE to chase down most fireball chars.

Slight dmg nerf on spd. But we're closer so perhaps more frame advantage? Have to test.

Only worries for me are the Sim and urien buffs. Surprised we didn't get a health buff.

I think for the SPD distance would let us possibly dash up c.mp for the people with 4 frame jab/short

Apparently you can whiff punish max distance Karin sweep
 
Hmm something feels off, I am struggling to connect CA after s.HK and I can only seem to do the 2 jabs into lariat combo but not consistently.

Funny thing is that you can hit Vtrigger cancel the CC HK and get all the hits LOL

Yes I am calling this shit now, Making c.lp 4 frames on hit is shit. Lariat has the horizontal buff but you cant get to use the buff.
So awkward to combo it into lariat.
I'll test when I get home at midnight. What are u having issue with specifically? Not enough range or failing to combo it.

When are you trying to use the jab combo? After spd? I wonder if cr.lk cr.lk lariat works?

I can do 2 c.lp into lariat but gotta hold down forward all the way through or it will not hit.
s.mp combos into c.lp, lariat hahaha

What about f.hp cr.mp st.lk lariat? Or is that too far.

s.mp combos into c.lp, lariat hahaha
And try cr.lk cr.lk lariat without holding forward. Does cr.lk have less pushback on hit than cr.lp?

What good is st.mp combing into jab then? If you have time for a meaty you'll headbutt.... and the times you would do st.mp you're too far to follow to lariat. Maybe just to tack on a jab? Gah.
