3.4 notes are out. This is looking to be the final big patch now that S3 is done.

Way too much to paste here. Here's the link:

My favorites-
Glacius loses his meterless, combo starting reversal.

Jago dammy nerf to DP ender (it's insane CH damage remains)

Fulgore's teleport slows down reactor build by 33 percent more. Very, very smart nerf. He can no longer just get free mixups off throws into a short combo blender and expect to still have meter. Teleport is still really good, but tele into DP is now a costly gimmick and he has to engage in some traditional offense.

Thunder loses full invincibility on l.DP (I'm still laughing that this was ever A Thing in the first place)

Also, Sabrewulf's flipout got buffed a bit. As it stands, Jago can actually reversal DP and it will auto-correct if Wulf does a dash behind after flipout. I'm guessing the increasing advantage may mean this will now properly reverse inputs. Also, s.HK after flipout was pretty tight before to avoid mash out jabs.

Sadiras changes have my interest piqued as well. I'm happy about a lot of the changes but we'll see how they pan out. Spinals dive kick buff is kinda funny since I tried it in the lab looking for a set up before. It didn't really work then but it might now

Those Kim wu buffs are great my favorites are the firecracker ender buffs and the dragon cancel off counter also that cinder otg Pyrobombs sound sick

It's sounds like the bomb doesn't have to be attached to the characters, just on the ground near a downed opponent. I haven't experimented with it either though

All too easy...
Gears 4 gameplay is pretty flawless and I like all the new maps, especially relic (better version of checkout from 3 imo), and lift for its dynamic aspects. Unfortunately it is plagued by the same things that have been in every online game lately; insane microtransaction based unlocks and bad/clueless players that are all wannabe Rambos that dont want to use an ounce of teamwork. Escalation is a really really cool new game mode but more than half the players dont even realize you can set the power weapons in between rounds and every time Ive played people on the losing team quit after about 2 lost rounds because they are scared of losing 5 more

I played the most of Gears 2
I feel like Gears gameplay truly emphasizes teamwork but sadly like you stated there will always be those that find a way to ruin it.
Id be down to try to get a group from TYM together and play

I've yet to mess around with the Cinder OTG thing. I honestly don't 100% get how it works.
Just in case your still wondering the bomb detonation is 100% guaranteed off hard knockdowns (sweep, throw) and launches for a juggle. Off any other knockdown the opponent can quick stand to avoid the otg. The buff was minor but it gave him something off his sweep.

Yeah I was messing around with it. It's kinda awkward to use off those requirements. Especially since you can detonate them mid throw. I'm trying to find some place to use them practically and it seems just like a niche thing.

It's not really a big deal. It just gives him something off his sweep which is his longest reaching normal. But if you have a tool like trailblazer, you wont really be using sweep too often

I just got an X1 off of a deal and KI is on its way. I'm eager to finally break into this game. Manuals, enders, linkers...this system is very unique. Plus the cast all have very unique tools that sound fairly impressive and crazy as well.

As a TVC guy its always been something that made me smile listening to Keits who is a fellow TVC guy himself talk about the things they've been workin on. Lots of new ideas in this game and I'm eager to take em on. Hoping to play Aria, Cinder or to be surprised by the cast. I still remember looking at Omen and thinking he was broken at first glance.

@shaowebb - you've picked a great time to get into KI. Here's why.

I highly suggest that all of you get in on this and spread the word.

And no, the 3.4 patch is not the final patch. 3.5 came out last November and there is another one on the way that will impact how potential damage after a combo breaker is managed. This game is FAR from finished.

Thats the best part about the game imo. The cast is extremely diverse and balanced. No too characters feel the same or have the same play style even.
Edit: And the music lol. Best soundtrack out there.

Neat. Even if by some miracle I won something keep your money. I'm here to have fun. I doubt coming in so late, working swing shift at a power plant, and spreading myself across literally every fighter means I have solid odds of being a threat though. I tend to just have solid defense and movement since playing too many fighters means I only carry over fundamentals most times till I can find the hours to dedicate to a character or game.

I don't really care about money I guess these days. Or achievements...I've done enough and I'm workng on my own stuff. I just wanna have good matches in whatever I'm playing and folks to share it with. Kind of hard around my schedule in the middle of nowhere to get that so its all I care about.

You give me that and we're more than even :)

EntropicByDesign

It's all so very confusing.
So how are Shago and Kim Wu doing these days? Ive thought about dabbling a little bit, but only really want to play her and Shago, or *possibly* Jago instead. I always liked Spinal and heard he got buffed..

Ive only played this game a handful of times.. maybe an hour or two of lab and probably 20 real matches ever. Not even any CPU matches, but the game does intrigue me and did before.
