So! Let's discuss what the actually hell might happen to our character here. We know that 50/50's are getting hit and that Butcher REALLY likes his 50/50's so how do you guys think he will be after all this?

Plus on block.
I don't think we have to worry about the 50/50 nerfs that much. LeatherDaddy's 50/50's already pretty reactable and punishable as is, as well as his mix-ups on block. I hope they don't nerf df2's safety though, but I wouldn't be surprised if they took away EXdf2's armror.

I'm more concerned with what buffs we might get.

Hopefully they give us a bit more use on df4.

It's a great wakeup move. Fastest armor he has, it has its uses.

I get you but i've never had a case where waking up with EX db3 or EX df2 didn't benefit me more. Hell EXdf2 launches and can catch people trying to jump or dash away under the right circumstances and net you a combo.

Yes but it's 25f which means over 80% of the cast can break that armor for free.

That won't happen unless NRS wants to take his only option on reacting and punishing projectiles. He has no projectiles himself so that would be a total game changer.

But it isn't his only option. He has EXbf3, which is a full screen armored low rush attack.

EXdf2 would get nerfed because it is an armored launcher, and OH one at that.

EXBF3 exists, yes, buts its nowhere as viable on punishment as EXDF2.

Armored launcher that can be broken by pretty much whole cast with little to no effort, that is super easy to react, and which is full combo pubishable on block. Your point exactly?

Oh and don't get me started about the removal of 'all' armored launchers just because Reptile got his changed. Smh.

I highly doubt the armour on ex df2 will be removed. It's slow and its armour is easily broken. It is a launcher yes but it's incredibly reactable. Taking it away would hurt him a little. I'm not going to say it will ruin Butcher, because it wont but it's one of the main ways of 'getting in' against projectiles. Taking that away would leave ex db3 as the only way of getting in, and that just pushes them away more! As a variation that struggles to get in against keep-away characters, removing that tool would crush his mobility.

Of course, we'll see in a few hours what they're going to do with Leatherface. Hopefully they go in depth with his changes in the stream.

Yup. Character plays identically to what he played like before and is a lot better now. His gaps basically mean nothing so he essentially doesn't have them for the most part.

Removing armor from the throw too was ridiculous.
Plus what are the anti zoning options now?

Did they take armour off ex command grab? I'm sure I used it today and it did. BF3 is pretty much the only ticket in for Butcher. Db3 can also be used when your a bit closer. But for match-ups that I know Butcher will have a tough time, I just choose Pretty Lady.

So I was thinking to myself "How can we use bar besides defensively?" since ya know, all our shit is meterless. And then I realized we can use it in our resets! We don't need it to add damage to a combo that cashes out we need to to add onto our reset damage. Look at this DISGUSTING reset.
