So yeah, there are a few main types of mix-ups in SF. They are:
1. Mixing up lows and overheads. Get your opponent to block low, hit 'em with an overhead.
2. Using blockstun to alternate between throws and invincible attacks (ex. using cr. jab to start a tick throw setup, then doing an SRK when you think your opponent thinks you're going to throw, and thus mashes buttons)
These are the two "old school" mixup types. You can have other mix-ups such as alternating between a throw and an invincible attack after dashing forward - look up the "Umeshoryu", I think that's what they call Daigo's technique. But the above two are the most basic. The common element in a mix-up is that you are forcing your opponent to
guess.
