Here is my thing though you are saying this AFTER we fought, you swore up and down that Tanya gets completely bopped by Kitana, then when I fought you you bring up the same thing m2dave did, "You are the only Tanya" " you were getting away with murder" , but why didn't yall say this before?? You got caught up lmao, and that's all
From the top. No. I said Kitana is a better zoner. I am not the better player. Big difference. But I can guarantee you that over time with an understanding of her mixups and potential she will be overcome. Yes you beat me 32-3 but I never saw a 30-0..in the first set if three I believe a win the second game. Even looking back now I laugh at myself. High arc fireball is simply a two step forward fan/glaive punish. Straight and ex fireball can still be jumped on reaction. What makes Tanya good is NOT her fireballs alone..its Shroud, it's armor, the damage from that. And MOST importantly...the MIX.
Even when I sat back and tested glaives to fireballs I could continue jumping straight and dodge or counter each high ball and dodge ex straight fireball. My flaw is getting to comfortable with that...when you would throw another high arc I would be flowchart jump glaiveing..bad bad bad...looking back it was as simple as walk forward glaive on reaction.
What Mournful has to truly worry about is her lack of nigh-complete air supremacy, meaning teleport mixups are a thing..a bad thing. I can't use my normal pressure do to ex shroud and exteleport but I didn't use this knowledge to bait them with max range staff grabs, lifts, and ExDp's to beat them out and jail you with two bars.
So let's keep playing. I need the knowledge no doubts...when I say I let you get away with murder it's just that...lack of knowledge. Tanya is more then fireballs. Leg cancels and side switch teleport mixups into back teleport fireballs, back teleports into air drills, split kicks, d3 overheads flips. That is her strength. And I will admit that Pyro is her best variation. If you dont understand this character just as much as the person maining her.....your gonna lose. So like I always like to say..

I welcome it. You learn from loses. If I wanna BE better I need to fight BETTER people. So let's enjoy. By the end of it you'll be a Kitana counterer and I'll be a Tanya counterer. Who knows when I can finally make it to tournaments we may meet in person, in which Imma stare in your fucking soul as Kitana splits that both in half.
