If you do Jab Jab then input throw really quickly, it beats vreversals if the opponent does it but if they don't then your jab comes out. You can also do it after jump in. JIP, jab then throw really quickly. Mm mm mm,

LOL no VSkill usage from Saltface, at least make Guile think about throwing booms...

i can't think of any reason this would work. What's going on here mechanically?

Mechanically, ummm... I'm not an expert by any means but my best guess is that when a player V-Reversals, a function of the mechanic is that it essentially eats the input so that it can do whatever it has to do. But the window for throwing V-Reversal is quite large it seems so you're allowed to input throw as well. Thus if you V-Reversal, the opponents jab gets eaten and their throw comes out else their jab that's in the buffer comes out. Pretty neat. Here's an example:

Jesus christ I have played Platinum players that can't jump every boom I throw and punish me. I just played a psychic Ryu. Like he was literally so far in my head that he could speak for me like a ventriloquist and predict when I had to cough or some shit. Every single boom I'd throw, he'd just jump at the same time and punish me. If I tried to bait the jump (with a jab or a whiffed throw or a vskill) he'd laugh at me and just throw more fireballs at me.

Worst feeling ever. You feel so hopeless. Every time you try to adapt to what they're doing, they've already switched it up and can just read you like a book. What the hell can I do?

if anyone's ever that far in your head it's because you're predictable, not that they're godlike. Unless it's like a 60 game set you can't get that strong of a read on someone in 2-3 games. I'd suggest watch the replays and check for your tells.

I didn't say they were godlike and I know what the problem is. I'm just venting and expressing how it's the worst feeling ever because you're trying everything. Throwing lots of booms, no boom, varying amounts of booms. I understand the fireball game, he just made better reads than me and kept adapting I guess. Just venting, is all; typing my thoughts and posting makes me feel better and see clearer.

Anyway, did you see the last post I made on the V-Reversal thing I was talking about? Pretty cool I think lol.
