Strategy - D'Vorah The New D'Vorah

As we all know D'Vorah got nerfed in the newest patch, lets use this thread to discuss new tech we find in this patch or any stealth nerfs/buffs!

Here's what I've found so far, feel free to comment what you've found if not already listed on TYM/Patch Notes.

F3 now can be combo'd into WGC 212, Ex Bug Blast (1 bar), this gives Brood and Swarm Queen safe 5050s... although the BM 5050 does have a gap obviously.


1 bar links in general seem to be easier with Brood Mother, being able to convert off of almost anything from EX Bug Blast.


Venomous EX Bug Burst is 0 on block 13f startup and has pushback, it does 16.35% damage including the DOT, you cannot combo off it (that I've found yet) it also has 2 HITS OF ARMOUR!

Venomous no longer guarantees a mixup after Bug Spray as f3 is too slow, you can still get guaranteed b1 though.

Swarm Queen puddle has 9f of recovery.

Lets goooooooo, will format the post cleaner later, just sloppy for now lol

BM still has the gap so its not gonna be safe still and u cant confirm it at all. Better combo damage is not a problem really, and being able to consistently confirm stuff to ex bug is going to be a luxury.

My main concern is that armour will beat any krawler knockdown setups easily now, but i can already think of a few tricks to deal with that.

Ok, so bug spray is still normal? That's good. And Venomous hasn't guaranteed a mixup since XL dropped and they nerfed the hit advantage from +15 to +12, so that's hardly a change at all.

In the corner pre patch she was guaranteed oh and low, now she isn't guaranteed the OH.

Bug spray seems the same so far

Are you absolutely certain of that? Because a 15 frame overhead leaving no gap after being only +12 is mathematically impossible. But since I'm a pc player, I can't definitively say otherwise since I never got to lab that nerf. Though I suppose I could test it when they let me download the patch on steam since f2 was only changed to a mid, supposedly.

Stealth nerf in Swarm Queen: Puddle also has 9 frames recovery now (used to be 0).

That move is useless outside of combos now. :p

Also I'm sure it has been mentioned already but in Brood Mother it's not necessary to do f11 after EX Bug Blast now. You can easily do starter xx bug blast, slight run, 212 - ender.

This is very useful with the b1 starter imo because the link is dead easy that way, there is no need to go for inconsistent tight links with f11 anymore.

Edit: talking about midscreen, not just in the corner.

ive been playing a little with venomous, and boy its waaay better now. Broodmother is somewhat the same but because of the nerfs to everything especially swarm queen, brood mama got boosted. cause some of your remember before tanya came out, i had mained brood mother ;)

for some reason i thought you meant you can combo off meterless bugblast after b1 lol my bad

can you explain how venomous is better? i can't see it tbh.

ex spray is 0 on block and has armor. its 13 frames and has a great pushback where you set against dvorahs best range. it adds venom damage over time on hit and does 4% chip damage. if you anti air with it in corner it launches, but its a very touch link.

i think her f34 was stealth nerfed... the reach of 4 seems shorter. i could normally do f11, df3, f44, f34 without running in. 11b2, d1, f34 was much more consistent also
