The Power of Lame Compels You
Man I need to get this game ASAP. All the characters look so fun. I was gonna try Necali when I first get it but I don't really know. I want to try and possibly get out of my comfort zone with character archetypes and Necali doesn't do that. What are some other good picks for someone familiar with fighting games but new to Street Fighter?

No I just thought that if I couldn't roll it was a hkd lol
Nah, you can roll everything but a couple knockdowns. Throws and throw-esque moves you only can tech in place...the only three non-super HKDs are Alex's EX stomp and Bison's EX knee press and EX headstomp.

Honestly, it's just getting more comfortable with the game itself. You have a general idea of things, just getting more acclimated with your best BnB options off the things you land, and getting down punishment timings.

no. Guiles f mp is 0 on hit. You aren't getting punished for landing it.

Only thing guile has that's punishable on hit is a point blank bazooka knee, and it's only punishable by gief CA.

If you're getting beat out on a plus 0 hit advantage it means they hit a button that was faster or they hit the button before you.

I recommend Juri as a starting out character. She teaches you discipline because nothing is free, nothing is easy and nothing is guaranteed; it's all about timing, making hard reads and conditioning people

You can't just throw someone and get pressure like you did something special and you can't just knock someone down and drop a 4f+ active normal on their wake-up because you can read a guide. Make a decision and commit

theres like ONE character in the game that has a move they use to meaty that's got 4 active frames, And there's ONE that's got 5. As far as I know.

Lol, doing a meaty without a 4f active normal isn't even impossible anyway. Easier? Yeah, but there's also plenty of 3f active normals too. Juri technically has 2 normals that are active for at least 4f anyway (though not consecutively), and LK release on certain knockdowns is also a viable meaty.

Normalize grab immunity.
I hate the input for it on MK. Makes command grab wake ups annoying because of delayed wakeup T_T
There's so much more wrong with NRS input system besides command grab inputs. Just from a design standpoint it's just bad. Hence why there was that thread about cassie players (and I'm sure other characters), getting interactables instead of the strings.

I agree. Those ⬇⬅➡ motions for moves or grabs are annoying, SF is just more fluid with QCF QCB half circle backs etc. Leave those unfluid moves for fatalities.
