Street Fighter V General Discussion

NRS shill #42069
With the exception of Infiltration no player is consistent because the game is random
only reason guys like you call sfv random is because you only understand setplay. nrs players especially can't handle neutral in fgs they need binary situations either low or overhead mash armor or no armor this or that etc just spoon-fed situations

sfv is about timing in neutral the fact that you cant grasp this is why you fail and not because chun gets pressure after her forward throw and your character doesnt or whatever the next post you make is about

If the game was random, no one would be consistent.
Ssshhh capcom cup rankings is full of new unheard players that came out of nowhere at the top. Not the notable consistently top players like momochi, Tokido, and justin wong. Nope.

Myles too used to watching one guy win all the tournaments and a handful of the same clan memebers round out top 8.

SFV is about timing, decision making and reads because you can't see what is going on. If you search hard enough and want to believe then you can find meaning in Capcoms mistakes

"A lot of SFV has turned into a guessing game" thank you Infiltration

Daigo loses in the states after winning Back 2 back tournaments
Nuckledu won Absolute Battle. 13th at First Attack 1 week later
MOV gets top 8 at EVO, wins an EU ranking event then loses in pools next tournament
Where were Momochi, Tokido and Justin Wong at EVO?

Anyone want to play rn EDIT: I'm also in a character crisis between Bison and Balrog. I would like to main Balrog but it just seems I have trouble getting in and maintaining pressure sometimes because I feel like I'm just out ranged all the time

yeah jwong, tokido, go1, xian, Haitani. You don't ever see these people in top 8s.

Edit: also how stupid do you have to be to call a game random and then say anyone is consistent? If infil is consistent the game can't be random by definition.

Why is everyone quoting only that part? Literally the next statement is comparing SF4 defense and how you backdash for everything. Now you have to decide on an option with risk/reward.

Holy shit Myles I just rewatched that video. He goes on to describe how getting thrown into a vortex is less of a thing. How you have to focus on timing instead of just following a safe flowchart to beat most players. Jesus did you watch that video.

Sounds like players are traveling, getting experience in a game that isn't even a year old.

Again, this isn't the NRS scene, it's actually ok if more than one guy wins everything and top 8s differentiate from one another.

Again, look through the capcom cup rankings. Out of everyone currently qualified for the regionals and whatever else before the capcom cup and the actual capcom cup, who is the random unknown player, with no skill. I'll wait for this crazy identity who's only footage is the single tourney run. Otherwise SFV results look like the ideal for what happens when high level players compete in a balanced game.

Itazan and Haitani out of Manila Cup before Top 16. I rest my case
theres probably 30+ players in the world with results equal to or better than those 2, and way more that are capable of beating them in a 2 out of 3 set. Not sure why you think they deserve some kind of reservation in top 16. This isn't MK, there's enough good players out there competing that make these kind of things unpredictable.

Also you still haven't told me how infil remains so consistent in a "random game".

I dont know about Haitani as I was not watching his matches but Itazan lost to Eita and Dark Jiewa, but I guess they were both random results :DOGE

EDIT: Did not mean to reply to you lol

Lol @ SFV random...even though Infiltration (at whatever events he's been to) does what SonicFox is doing with NRS games (winning everything he enters).

Please remember that, as well as the fact that there are always players capable of taking out each other at these tournaments. Itazan lost to 2 pretty known players, and Haitani lost to the same guy twice...a Taiwanese Vega who's actually ranked within the top 100 in the online leaderboards and is currently in top 16 Winners.

Why do you guys even continue to respond to the spoiled child? You're arguing with someone who has literally done nothing on this website whatsoever since the days of Injustice 1 all those years ago except complain, as if that sort of all-encompassing whininess can somehow be overcome by logic.

@Aramonde even though this guy has worse neutral than fl rushdown ryu, do you see how I never walked back? you have to hold your ground and keep them out of crossup range with booms while punishing whatever yolo moves they throw out. 90% effective win strategy if you did this to the ranked guys you run into

Thanks General Shazzy i'll try *salute*

But i gotta say that Ryu missed a ton of opportunities to hit you. I dont how he got to ultra platinum.

WOW!!!! Punished for landing F.MP to lose the match! So add that to the list of moves where people can punish me even on hit.

Mike Ross last night on commentary "Please dont tell he got punish for landing that" If only you knew Mike.
