A small gief buff I would like to see would be maybe 1-2 more frames of projectile invincibility on the headbutt, I don't think that's too much to ask for.

does a CA beat out a VT cancel (on hit)?

scenario: i'm Laura vs. Necalli. i land 9mk, mp>mk xx VT xx 2hp xx bolt charge

standard challenge mode combo. got CA'd in between VT and 2hp

if it combos they can't ca or do anything. You were just late on the link and he mashed it.

What @FL Rushdown said. Most, if not all, CA's have invinciblity frames on start up, so he was likely mashing incase you missed you timing and got lucky.

I'm really curious how they'd make Dudley. I don't what his V-trigger would be. Easy route would be Rose setups. But if they didn't change most of the character he'd be ridiculous in SFV system. Combos from low and overhead, all his juggles with and without meter. Sweep, duck, mixup.

v skill would be his duck, and trigger would be like chuns, let him link off his overhead and maybe change some frame data around.

@Sutter Pain I was watching your replays and your Gief is sick! I have huge respect for good Gief players.

Why dont you play ranked?
Thanks man!! Anything you saw last night might be biased I was having some connection issues for some reason. I have never really been a fan of ranked in fighting games I would rather just play sets then grind out matches with iffy connections for points.
 
before the matchmaking update I would try to go in blind to their tier because I wanted to know how I played without assuming their level level of information from rank

I forgot about v skill. I don't want to imagine a v trigger giving dudley more offense. I barely played 4 but even just watching he felt obnoxious in that game.
 
You could do something with the rose for V-Skill, but Vega's V Trigger is a rose, and having two rose moves may seem a bit unoriginal to some less familiar with the series. Many would like it though, and there would be a few ways you could use it. It could either act as a projectile similar to Ibuki's kunai (as in you can hit it away), or something similar to Birdie's where you can place it as an obstacle on the floor (but that seems toodefensive for Dudley). Or, it could act as a taunt in 3s used to and boost a stat, or give him a juggle property on his next hit.

As for trigger, there's a few ways that seem faithful to past iterations. Dudley was a 3S character, so you could introduce a parry of sorts, but Alex has that, so...

What would be more interesting is either a) doing something to boost his feints, possibly giving him better foot speed and the ability to dash through the opponent, b) giving him enhanced juggle capabilities, as juggle combos were always a big part of Dudley's game, and you could make every move juggle for brief a period of time, allowing for some really creative combos, or c) make it possible to combo off of a successful cross counter, which would make his rush down scarier as the threat of a cross counter bait could scare opponents into pressing fewer buttons.

I was talking about this with a friend the other day, and we both agreed that there is room for more than one style of boxer in this game. We have two shotos, and many are begging for Akuma (me included, he's too cool and iconic not to have in the game), two pro wrestlers, two sonic boom characters, three characters with arcing projectiles, a whole bunch of different types of parries. A more agile, Queensbury rules style boxer wouldn't be overkill.

i miss the first 12 seconds of every characters lifetime where you think they're good. The complaints are ridiculous man, come on.
No I still think Juri is good. She's about as close to the line that Capcom definitely crossed when they made Chun-Li, Necalli, Ryu etc that you'll get in this game

Now this is a low level scrubs opinion so keep that in mind.

1- I would like his vskill to stay out a little longer if you dont throw SB.

2- His SB recovery should be a tiny bit faster.
