Yea I kinda remembered it was you. Dude to each his own but I'd really recommend you trying and grinding it out with a pad, it's all practice bro, I used to try playing with the analog sticks but then I found out that dpad is actually easier for me and theres definetely more precision for moves, gameplay, etc. At least in my case I found I jumped 3 out of 10 times that I didn't want to jump using the analog sticks, and in a match even one accidental jump can be the difference between a win or a loss.
I've thought about it but i've invested sooo much learning my shit on analog that relearning wouldn't be with worth it i'd rather learn arcade stick if i was to do that. I do occasionally jump when i want to SB or FK but it doesn't happen that much.

Yea I hear ya. When I started learning Raiden's fireball run cancel (lighting run cancel whatever) I ran doing f,f,block, I practiced that for like 3 months then I found out it was easier to run doing f,f+block instead of two forwards then block. I thought about all the time I spent learning the first way but I realized it was better to learn the other way, easier, faster, etc. so I had to re-learn something I had already gotten down Lol, but now I know it was worth it. Just think of all the years you're going to be playing SF games etc. and you'll see how relearning ain't so bad.

Do you want to play a few games?
Sorry I don't play online because my internet connection is trash. I live in an apartment where the Internet cables are old/corroded/bent/whatever and my signal gets really weak even though I have the fastest internet, but they'd have to make holes on the wall and replace the wiring and the manager doesn't want that just yet. I'll definetely get this fixed in a couple of weeks though. Right now it's all offline with buddies. (=

you guys counter everything these days its not even funny.

anyway, my point hasn't changed, instead of assuming stuff this early on, let her breathe and grind the damn matches, ppl were saying Ken was ass, and he has been moving up on tier ever since, and he is one of the most played characters as well.
Well I wasn't saying it to blow you up bro :p

And yea, I don't agree with calling out character placements days after launch either.

God Ibuki v Guile is annoying as fuck to fight. Cant do traditional zoning until she runs out of kunai. But most characters in this game you cant play traditional Guile.

If you dont have the season pass then you have to buy them separately with either 100,000 FM or with real money 5 or 6 bucks i cant remember. Do the general story and characters story and watch all the character guides for easy FM.

@B. Shazzy What do you do with Guile when you got them in the corner and their knocked down?
so the base game you buy comes with everything minus all the dlc?

I'll be back 3ing
Bruh even you know that's ridiculous. F.A.N.G. for one has to play much better than Ibuki does to win. Ibuki got EX dp. FA.N.G. got EX please don't throw. Ibuki got mixups. F.A.N.G. dirtiest thing is only on hard knockdown or you in the corner and he has cloud out. At least you can buffer a charge and her dash is pretty quick. I'm sue you can abuse the 8 frames you always talk about.

What does illusory meaty mean? Idk what her options are but I'm sure no one wants to constantly eat lows. Hell you could sweep and dash for pressure. I did all the time when I played Necalli.
When you just throw out an Ibuki command dash it side-switches and you counter-hit them. It feels sooo fake and the game is balanced around this stuff. No character can be unviable in a game with 0 defense, high damage, high stun and a bit of blindness thrown in

An illusory meaty is something I just made up that sounds cool which describes Ibukis meaty off a forward throw. It's an 'illusory meaty' because she can't actually hit you after the throw; wake-up normals just extend the hurtbox and trade with the active frames on cr.mp hence the Illusion of a meaty.

Why are you always going on with the 0 defense nonsense man. Plenty of wins already in SFV using anti airs and space control.

And I guess every SF game was fake since she could always do that. Unless you're doing a setup, a competent player won't allow you to just dash through them.

So your opponent either presses a button and you counter hit or doesn't and you get to do other stuff. It's not like if they don't press a button, Ibuki loses. Same thing happens to Balrog. It's not even a cast wide thing for any throw to lead to more pressure.

If you get hit in this game by some characters and don't have a reversal then you aren't aloud to play until the next round. I don't know what it's like for a Ryu, Necalli or Ken player to stand over someone that doesn't have a reversal but I'm sure they are a licking their lips about how much they are about to outplay you

It isn't a cast wide thing it's a select top tier thing that is not 'fair'

Gotta love those training mode combos. 3 bombs in a sequence is impossible. Also, any combo where the bomb OTG's can be blocked if they tech the knockdown.
Yeah, also an amount of wasted resources.
The only good thing about people forced to tech the bomb is so that you can mix with a command dash and still hit them from behind or from a delayed bomb setup.

So far the Best Ibukis i've seen playing really well with optimized stuff are Sako and Momochi, Pugera has also shown some good stuff.

Everyone else either waste too much resources or doesn't have a good way to approach their opponents, like Kazunoko, who wastes too much bars with ex Kunai to get a mixup.
