GG's to everyone in the KOTH that shit was fun and hopefully we can do it again sometime soon. I am gonna learn some damn combos for next time my shit is weak lmao.

Ggs I have to do the same. My Balrog is all buttons since that was his debut but apparently I still cant lose to Birdie gimmicks.:cool:

FL Rushdown still going to regret making an early judgement on Bukibuki. She was always a gimmick character with real techs behind it, of course it will take time, but i'm not buying that "ibuki is not gud in this game" bullshit.

She has long range normals, her kunais are 10 times better than in SF4 and have far more utility, Bonsho kick is safe at distance, frame traps, can blind people on screen with bombs, has momentum control, the only people complaining about Ibuki right now, are the 50-50 flowchart scrubs.

I think there's a lot more to come from Ibuki. If Fuudo can manage to poke people to death with R.Mika in footsies than Ibukis neutral is fine

@bdizzle2700 With Birdie, how do you approach using his charged headbutt? Are you always charging and have a certain button that doesn't have much use compared to the others always held down, or do certain combos allow for charge to build from the first hit? I've been interested in playing him for a while, especially as his c.mp is so good, but the one button charge thing has been putting me off.

in sf4 her kunai were unlimited and she was actually plus after using them on people's wakeups. Now when you cross people up with them you get jabbed out of your pressure unless you spend bar. Ibuki is fine, but her vortex and neutral are worse in this game than they were in 4. I never said she wasn't good in this game, just worse than she was in 4.

and this Ryu clearly doesn't know the matchup and its online. There were like 4 reset situations where he could've jabbed her out of pressure super easily, not to mention Ryu is actually her worst matchup since his jab hits her on both sides when she dashes so he can beat her out wether she stays in front or goes behind. Again not saying she's terrible but she's gimmicky and has 900 hp, Ryu can kill her in 2 hits.

And when i was talking about Zangeif i wasnt talking about just story mode. I dont know how people use these super slow characters and can 360 consistently. 90% of the time i jump.
You dont even have to do the full 360 due to the games input leniency and buffer system, you can do the movement from back to up-forward + Punch.

It's early stages. You can't expect quality play; the anti-air at the beginning didn't even combo. Ryu can't jab her out of a meaty cross under, no one can.. it's a meaty cross under

I personally dont use regular charged headbutt very often but instead ex bull horn for the armor and it goes like half screen.regular bullhorn is really good for getting through projectiles and sometimes punishing early read jump ins. Like getting through sonic booms cause revenger snd chains are slow and they can back dash away from their booms anyway.i use really what ever button i know im not gunna use. Far range ill use like lk or lp as I'm walking in. Mid range maybe like hp. For ex i use lp mp. But i also play on a fight pad so that's just more comfortable for me. I know most birdies use like hp maybe hk. The only combo i beleive you can charge during the combo is ex bull head vt combo. (ie. Mp ex bull head vt cancel first hit:charge as you eat the pepper: chp bull horn.)
All in al l lol i use tbe regular one to get passed projectiles and its not that great. You can fireball punish vt cancel but you have to be pretty close to get it to connect. Ex bull horn is really good but also really bad on block. So really just depends on what button your willing to give up. But you dont need to be charging it all the time.

Not the cross under but any normal canceled into dash will get beat by his jab or st lk.
