What kind of damage are you guys hitting with this character? It seems like the damage potential for this character is through the roof.
He does a butt load of damage off a good hit. In the corner he can do upwards of 50%+(with meter) into a reset without any variation stuff.

He's got good damage man. In DM mid screen im between 30-37% meterless, Corner is 40-47% meterless.

I hate how Bo's flask magically changes sides when he stance switches...

This may of been mentioned before but I just noticed you can do easy armor breaks using fart with the hit advantage of Bo's Xray. Pretty sure you can't tech roll, though they can backdash, which they will always have room for because the xray moves you about two jumps back. You can punish that of course. Seems like it would be trouble for chars/situations without the threat of armor. Either way at +57 there's a lot you can do.(The beginning is using b2 against the slower EX Klaw Swipe.)

Too bad I never have meter for it.

Haha yeah the flask! Annoys me so much. It should be like demolitions grenades should always be facing outward to the screen.

Bo struggles against Sektor especially DM, anything Bo can do in the neutral (stomp, drink, meditate, fart) Sektor can just teleport and get a full combo.

well, or you can punish his teleport whiff like on this video (Sektor's teleport is predictable in most of cases).

Yeah, from the looks of it though the timing was really lucky on your part, if you react too soon Sektor will recover in time and if you do it too late you get hit. You can absolutely bait it but you'd have to practice the timing and then your opponent would probably adjust.

I only play as Bart, but I feel like it's a 5-5. He cant keep Bo out for long. Straight rockets are safe, but easily ducked, or jumped over. Sektor players have to be careful with up rockets, a bad read could cost him 40%. When Bart is in F1 range, it's pretty much in his favor. You wont see Sektor players blowing up gaps with armor and back dash doesnt get him much of anything. Getting out of the corner is also a rough gig for Sektor.

I dont mean to make it sound like it's in Bart's favor, but he has options. It's not a bad MU at all.

I would have thought DM could get in far easier than Bart. I dont get why you think it's a bad MU.

One of Bo's best neutral tools is the fart, it's insanely good but Sektor can just punish it on reaction from anywhere on the screen pretty much with his teleport for a full combo. Same with stomp, another tool for his neutral, instant air teleport into full combo. End combos with air charge to send him full screen and start up the zoning game again. I mean what can Bo do until he gets in? Most stuff can be caught by teleport for a full combo and then straight back into zoning.

I can see how bartitsu would have it easier since you have range but it's still not easy, especially since bartitsu is Bo's least effective variation at fullscreen. DB has ex df2 armourbreaking overhead/low setups and DM has the meditate stance rolls. Eating 40% off a bad read is kinda how Bo works in general really, up missles is more of a mind game than actual zoning too. Bartitsu's f1 is also a high so Sektor can just d3 to low profile it. I do agree getting out of the corner sucks but that's how it is against Bo. Basically Sektor can just keep you at fullscreen all game when Bo does get in he has options to deal with it and send you right back to fullscreen, where your options are very limited/dangerous, especially for bartitsu.

Bo doesnt work unless his enemy is within reach. You shouldn't be concerning yourself fighting back at range. It hardly ever works, even with a life lead. Against characters like Kitana, Full Auto, Cutthroat or Sektor...you gotta focus on getting in, and staying on offense even with a life lead. Farting and stomping and shit is worthless.

You cant just dismiss Bart's F11 by saying he can D3 it. At F1 range, you should be more worried about his F1, and his F4.

It sounds like you're having the most trouble dealing with his zoning. Duck dodge dip dive and dodge my friend. Same with almost every matchup against a character with good projectiles. At least it's not Full Auto where she can shoot up and down rockets...

I'm actually talking as if I'm the one playing Sektor because I was playing him against a Bo player. Yes, you can get in, but it takes patience. Also just meaning Bo in general i.e. his universal stuff like stomp and fart that are good neutral tools, not 100% specifically bartitsu normals.

Gotcha. Yeah, it's all about patience...which sucks. BO RAI CHO LIFE MAN!!!!!!

But standard dash is punishable on block. Why does it make it hard?
A well executed one is only punishable by bump n dump afaik. It just makes Sektor that much more slippery and hard to pin down/approach on top of all the missiles.

Also Sektor punishes monkey flips pretty hard too.

Ahhh yeah, I could see that.

I think Bart can just F1 punish every time, but I'd have to do more testing. I've never really had issue punishing it.

What are Bo's best options against Inferno Scorpion? Scorpion just infuriates me, even more than Piercing Mileena. I try to be patient but just keep getting blown up. Leaving Crop Dusters for the inevitable tele-spamming is really all I can do, and I can barely even get those out before it's too late.

What's blowing you guys up specifically? If they are doing teleports just block and punish, specifically with inferno watch out for the low minion grab. The thing about scorpion is his wakeup teleport option can really make it hard to enforce oki so you'll have make good use of your restands to prevent this. Also just make a read, block and punish.

I feel like I can pretty successfully read and block the Low Minions because they get thrown out like candy, but before I can do anything he's already teleported behind me and has me in the loop. Bo really suffers for his lack of speed in this matchup.

I've also had some very minor success with EX Head Dive in Drunken Master to just blast through the Minion spam, but I can never find the time to drink against Scorpion and it's just a temporary solution.

Gotta be patient, work your way in and get it started. Bait teleport and punish, if you read he's going to cancel the telport then hit him with a combo. Just how it is playing Bo unfortunately.

Yeah, with most other matchups I don't mind the being patient part, but for some reason this one really grinds my gears. Is any one variation more effective here than the others do you think?

I don't think any variation is any better equipped to deal with scorpion than another. Might just be how you're handling the matchup when you play. Take your time and adjust to what your opponent is doing.

Do you bartitsu players use the Kane snag restand I don't use it at all seems like trash since you only get a d1 ?
Indeed I do!

I use it on 2 occasions.

#1: When I'm closer to the corner than my opponent and I score a combo, I will jump over them after DB4 with a crossover ji1 because ji2 has a weird hitbox. Since ji1 follow by a B2 is dumb, I do 413U4, F1~Cane Snag. From there I generally go for a D1~Cane Spin (6% chip), or D3...if the D3 lands, I'll go for a throw or even a B1 since you're +6 after D3 hits.

#2: If I really need to rally and all hope is close to lost, I'll end a combo in Cane Snag if I havent been regularly using it and attempt to reset them. This doesnt work much but it's a last ditch effort to begin with. This one is extremely situational.

Note: When they learn to backdash after Cane Snag, then you can DD4. It has it's uses, it's just not as good as it should be.
