Tekken is my all time favorite game lol. Been a Bryan Fury main since Tekken 3! I'll never leave the house again when it comes out. -.-

I hear ya. Lucky for me my two main's are both high up in Tekken. As a whole, some characters are debated, but the "agreed upon top tiers" are-

S- ShaheenWinsLol, Devil Jin, Kazuya, Feng Wei

Pretty much on everyone's S-tier list. Then there's the "sometimes S, sometimes A+, always A+" crew combined of-

Hwoarang, Jin, Josie, Bryan, Law, Xiaoyu, King, Dragonuv, Claudio, Paul.
Josie seems pretty straight forward and interesting but WTF is with her crying all the time? :D

Lololol!!!! Mannnnn I don't know! I played mainly Josie all summer last year, even over Bryan (played mostly the new chars in general for exp) and the one thing that I couldn't get used to was the crying. Winning a match and she's just crying on the screen until the next person swipes to play lol. Super annoying after a few days of playing. I was hoping they would remove it but it looks like it's here to stay.

I just remembered since the sidestep is getting buffed, Paul gets nerfed indirectly :(

I dunno if they changed it, but when we had it here the screen would count down 10, 9, 8 etc for the next person to swipe to play, all the while Josie was continuely crying after the win LOL! It was so dumb.

I suppose with b+1,2 being a possible anti step move, there could be some mind games.

If I was playing you I would let it run just to annoy you haha.

Hmm I dont think I can play any guys in the US if the connection is like TTT 2. Even though it is godlike, it is still delay based.

Who ever though that buffing Law, Feng, Kazuya and Heihachi for T7FR was on drugs.

Now all these characters are too gud its just too stupid, on the other hand a character that was perfect positioned on the tier list got clipped to be worse than his TTT2 interaction, fuck you Tekken balance cast, and Fuck Knee for saying Jin is too strong.

You think it's one of her best? What makes you think that? I was thinking it's not compared to some of the past Nina's but I trust your opinion on the character.
One of the main issues with nina is her lack of lows were not scary while her highs and mids are basically terrifying to deal with. What made her balanced was the fact her lows were bad and her neutral was a bit more situational then most characters.

In this iteration qcf+3(the low slide) is a ch launcher, WTF is a ch launcher, they made ss+4 -15(took out blockstun). Nina ended up getting a very strong mid from ws1, which is ws14 which is a ch laucher so now you have to deal with not being able to duck ws1,1+2 and ws1,4 is actually safe(it takes time for the move to come out and basically helped her damage output on shorter combos).

They ended up reverting her STFU nerf so it's -9 again which helps for a lot of things and they basically gave her a safe running move wr1+2, which wall splats and does around the same damage as f+1+2.

They made qcf+1, +1 on block so now you have to deal with stuff like ss1(f)1 which is going to be really obnoxious.And she basically can ss now from df+1,2 and 1,2 which means she can now have ever more ways to open you up. (I have to check how good this is).

She literally became terrifying especially at a wall and i'm pretty sure i'm missing stuff. Also @DYNA$TY since you wanted a fuller answer.

More notes which i found(i'll edit this more)

  • ch df+1+2 guarantees df+2 or 1+4
  • uf+2,1 now combos into db+2 and does damage
  • I made a mistake for now ws1,4 is an nh launch :confused:
  • df+3,2(f) is a thing now
  • Ivory cutter lost all tracking
ws1,4 in this video and wr1+2

Heihachi was definitely bad on T7 but not that bad, still better than T6 Jin and TTT2 Jin IMO, suddenly gets buffed, now even JDCR thinks the character got overbuffed.

Kazuya was perfectly fine, aside of maybe needing a reason to activate devil trigger, but now not only his Range attack has alternate control do trigger the devil within, the rage meter also has earlier activation compared to T7, and characters have even more health. His combos were fine, but ppl complained that he didn't had too many Screw attacks, so a round house kick was added to his moveset, making him the exact same character from TTT2 with the exact same combo fillers with the exact same purpose. Honestly his T7 version was more varied, now every Kazuya can do 3 to 4 "Turrieh" in the same combo to just perform a B+34(i guess that is the command) and to whatever the fuck he likes.

Meanwhile, Jin a character that had his own EWHF combo signatures which was preferential, now is forced into a singulary because knee thinks his fillers were too strong.
STFU Knee, you don't even main him as the others do.

Even tho Kat may be low mid, the gap between tiers in tekken aren't as far as SF or MK.

Ya she looks really fun, the only faults I see are she has to take a lot of risk to get the op to duck. d/b+3 is death on block, fc,d/f+4 is 0 on hit fc but death, d/b+4 is really slow also death, HAR 3 is death. One of her safer lows, d+3, is 0 on hit so you can mix it up w/ d+3,3 mid_d+3,3 high_d+3, d+4 low_d+3, grab_etc. She has a new chunky low in FR, hopefully it's -13 or less, I'd even take -14 at this point if its good on hit/ch, looks like it also high crushes. One of her safest options is d/f+2,2 i18, knd fdht, -11 w/ pushback in the open making it safe against everyone but maybe gigas.

1st two hits of her jab strings are duck able but you can 1, d/f+1 to annoy your op. 1,1,2 is + on block, if they hit a button d/f+4 will ch. You can mix it up with 1,1,3_1,1,1 if they try to duck or interupt 1,1,2. She also has a 1,4 hl.

Her high crush tho -17 has a lot of pushback like Anna qcf+3+4. Her safest low crush is -10 , u/f+3+4, but I believe she gets u/b+4 afterwards. She has a wallsplating 1+2 break grab. Her other grabs have good oki. Her only homing move is -13, f,f+4, worse than ancient ogre's f+3 -12, but she thankfully has decent tracking so you won't have to really use it.

She has a julia esque hopkick w/ extensions, I'm not sure if it's a 12 frame gap like julia's. She has a bunch of safe mids, decent punishers (i12 wallsplating 2,2_i13 ws 1,1_i15 f,f+2,4 for stuff w/ pushback like deathfist/hei f,f+2), decent CHs (d/f+4_4,4,4_3,3,3,3,3_max range f+4_f,f+3_d+1). At the wall you can put them in the blender w/ d/b+3, her 1+2 grab, and i18 mh d/f+2,4 w! _i18 mm, -11 d/f+2,2. Sorry for the wall, I got excited haha. TekkenCube and Shudy_jinlee's channels have Manba and other good japanese Katarinas. There are also Korean Katarinas on taktak1893 like Siho.

They killed part of the hype for me as they keep nerfing jin in Tekken 7 FR for no damn reason.

There will reach a point the character will probably get removed from the game.

I played Tekken 7 at CEO and sweet jesus

Fox and Jack handle like wet dreams.

So many people who don't know the b.2 trap with Jack, so many Lucky Chloes losing half of their HP to rock punches hitting their tech rolls.
So many people who aren't used to the Fox shuffle and end up eating strings like beans.

With the higher damage numbers, Jack-7 is a monster and Steve actually doesn't take 20 guesses to down an opponent.
