Top 2 easiest characters to use are Shaheen and Katarina, with Claudio a close behind them. Claudio's combos are mindless easy too, but he has a little more in his fighting strategy. Coincidentally, the 3 easiest all happen to be new characters, likely on purpose to help newcomers.
The difference between Shaheen and Katarina is that he is "best in the game tier" while being braindead simple to use, and Katarina's tools are bottom 5ish but she's just as easy to use/play. I had her BnB's down in like 5-10 min back when we had Tekken. Her gameplan is as straightforward as it gets. Very, very simple stuff.
Like i said i not much into Tekken atm but i will pick it up when it comes out in early 2017.
So who is top tier now? After almost 1,5 year of maining low tier in MK X i probably gonna be a tier whore in Tekken 7.

Thou as a side note i remember playing a lot of Hwoarang in Tekken 3 back in the day. Is he any good in T7?
Tekken is my all time favorite game lol. Been a Bryan Fury main since Tekken 3! I'll never leave the house again when it comes out. -.-
I hear ya. Lucky for me my two main's are both high up in Tekken. As a whole, some characters are debated, but the "agreed upon top tiers" are-
S- ShaheenWinsLol, Devil Jin, Kazuya, Feng Wei
Pretty much on everyone's S-tier list. Then there's the "sometimes S, sometimes A+, always A+" crew combined of-
Hwoarang, Jin, Josie, Bryan, Law, Xiaoyu, King, Dragonuv, Claudio, Paul.
If you're gonna tier hunt, I'd recommend trying one of those characters others. Some like Xiaoyu, Bryan, Kazuya, and Devil Jin may be hard to use for beginners though, while Shaheen, Claudio, Josie, and Paul are a lot easier to pick up.
Don't I'm sure Law needed it. Git gud.
The fact that the guy has every tool in the book imaginable but is supposedly "too unsafe to be S Tier", so he gets buffed is disgusting. Like turning my real life stomach level disgusting lol.
