If you don't know anything about a character then just say you don't know anything about said character and then omit them from your list lol. I hate it when people don't know anything about a character then try to rank where they are. Like if you're placing a character in a certain place just for shock factor then how can anybody take anything you say seriously about this? Seems silly to me.

As for the name of the tiers. Am I the only one who doesn't care? You can name it by animal or colour for all I care lol. If the highest tier is red then it goes down to bottom tier blue, then I still know which tier they're in and how the cast compares to each other. Just give a description of what each tier is.

I agree to an extent about the character placing. To an extent only because that very same notion of "knowing" other characters that aren't your own has been going around since the birth of FGs. Its not entirely flawed, because if you didn't know the other characters, you wouldn't know how to handle the MU, but I can see where you're coming from. Again, hence the discussion.....

And I think that's a better idea then, to just omit the letters.

Tbh I just mentally block out all of the low Reptile placements.

That character is in no way two tiers lower than the best. A bunch of people know that, but the consensus is just so misinformed.

It's gonna be one of those things where later on in the game, Reptile is gonna be going nuts on people, and the Reptile players will say "he was always like this".

"His midscreen damage bro. It doesn't matter that everyone else got nerfed and he does more than Alien. It still makes him bad."

Edit: I'm not downplaying Alien, i'm just saying that characters can be good with bad midscreen damage. Alien is supposed to be the best and he does less than Reptile.

To be fair, I thought exactly the same things day 1 of XL patch too. But then again, I played both pyro and Kobu, so I picked up on it quickly.

I agree that Tanya is a B tier character. But that's about it. A lot of this seems questionable to say the least.

I find it highly ironic that the day MKXL patch came out and i touched Tanya, i said that Kobu became garbage and that Pyromancer turned into her best variation due to universal nerfs and 2 buffs that it recieved. I got jumped for saying that Tanya was bottom 5, saying that i dont know what i am talking about "Dragon Naginata is still very good Vak" and all of those.

Now, according to commets you all seem to agree that she is on the lowest tier of the game, thus making Tanya not really viable for tournaments. (Boy do i have to outplay someone to win) I just find it funny how i got jumped and attacked and now y'all seem to agree that she is bottom 5.

Thats all.

The cool thing about opinions on TYM is they have the ability to time travel.

They can warp to after multiple extra rounds of nerfs to justify downplaying that happened previously.

At this point I miss having anything halfway decent. Bunch of bitching from lazy bitches who didn't want to learn matchups got her killed. Their reward for that success was "Alien"

Reptile is good, but the positioning is right. He can be pretty silly to block, and he benefits from having low stamina requirements on top of a solid mobility option. The issue isn't his damage, though it hinders him, especially no meter. The problem is that he's not absurd, tool-wise, compared to everyone above him. Not to say he can't keep up, but his matchups are decent and don't really have him losing badly to anyone other than GM Sub.

Alien can do less damage. Reptile doesn't have an overwhelming assortment of tools in each variation. That's why he's not where Alien is.

Sure Alien can get tons of damage if he spends 2-3 bars. That's TYM for you, though. If it helps one's agenda, resources do not matter.

Edit: Also, Reptile can get 38% meterless and well over 42% for two bars midcreen, in Noxious.

Not that it matters since you wouldn't ever want to dump 2 bars into less than 10%, but I know that that's your logic with Alien, that you're using just for argument's sake.
