I really don't know how you played the game in Japanese text. That just seems insane to me. Boo yeah I mean if it was in the game I think it would be obvious so I'm pretty sure is not in the game. I really don't understand why they would have taken it out though.@Juggs I looked for it the other day as well, seems like it's removed or were both just missing something.(I am trying to navigate menus in JP as well so >_>)
Playing in JP text isn't that bad once you have some things translated, everything is really straight forward.I really don't know how you played the game in Japanese text. Oh nice, they're going the Demon Souls way for infusing weapons. That's really awesome. ARE THERE GEMS THAT ARE EQUIVALENT TO FAINTSTONES IN DEMON SOULS? I MUST KNOW. Faint stones = Faith scaling + HP regen. Not sure about Intelligence and Faith, but for Dex and STR, there's a "Sharp" and "Heavy" gem for weapon infusion. The Sharp gem increases your scaling rank for Dex for that weapon, and the Heavy gem does it for Strength. Basically this means a lot of weapons can be used now instead of just the ones with the best scaling. I'm still using a weapon I got relatively early that had C str C dex but upgraded it to have B only in STR.
Ooh nice. Are the gems separate from titanite upgrading? As in can you upgrade a weapon to +10 (which I've heard is the max in ds3) and then slap a gem on it to improve scaling? And when you say a B only in STR, does that mean using a gem that improves scaling gets rid of the weapon's scaling for all other stats? Or did you just mean you can only upgrade one type of stat scaling per weapon (not that it would work any other way lol). Not sure about Intelligence and Faith, but for Dex and STR, there's a "Sharp" and "Heavy" gem for weapon infusion. If it's anything like demon's souls then yes/no. It'll increase the scaling of whatever gem you pick, but can either decrease the other scalings to usually E, or just remove them. Usually decreasing the other scalings to E is the case.Ooh nice. Are the gems separate from titanite upgrading? Looked it up on the wiki which is already up and running, and apparently different gems have different negative effects. For the DEX/STR scaling ones it supposedly it increases the scaling and decreases base damage. If it's anything like demon's souls then yes/no. I think it depends on the weapon. But for my Exile Greatsword, when I put a Heavy Gen on, it got rid of the Dex scaling. It was a C (or D can't remember) and it just disappeared when I put a heavy gem on. And when you infuse, the weapon remains whatever + it was. I had a +4 and when I infused it, it was still a +4.Ooh nice. Are the gems separate from titanite upgrading? I think there is, but my build doesn't use faith or int so I haven't checked. But I'll check after work tonight because I think I have the gem that effects faith.Oh nice, they're going the Demon Souls way for infusing weapons. That's really awesome. Kinda like the Capra demon, he can fuck you up, especially if you're new to souls games, but doing the drop attack trick makes it barely a fight. One boss that I felt was actually toughish, turns out there's a super super easy way to beat him, kinda lame.
Yea they mentioned if you downloaded the game early you wouldn't get the update that comes out on release. I think the update address the easy boss scenario lolCan't wait to PvP in this game. Btw, I'm 33 hours in and still haven't beaten it, and there's some stuff I can't do like covenant wise because you have to do certain things before you beat certain bosses to complete "quests" kinda like in DkS1.
This is quickly becoming my favorite Souls game. However, a lot of bosses are a little too easy, my only complaint so far. One boss that I felt was actually toughish, turns out there's a super super easy way to beat him, kinda lame.
None of these problems on PCSorry for the triple post but I can confirm the dl thing works. Took me like 4 tries and it can be any download not just back compat
Yea it's an X1 issue. It was the exact same thing in MKX.None of these problems on PC
