I love playing Raiden from time to time, but hit Back 2 overhead has AWFUL recovery time. I hate it so much!
You mean on block? If it hits it is the best combo starter Raiden has. It is negative infinity on block so you either go all in or special cancel it to like df2 to keep yourself safe.I love playing Raiden from time to time, but hit Back 2 overhead has AWFUL recovery time. I hate it so much!
Don't diss the jazz hands bro. Sure it's -2 billion on block and whiff as Shawnzzy said, but getting 40% no meter in the corner and nigh-50% for a bar is a pretty good tradeoff.I love playing Raiden from time to time, but hit Back 2 overhead has AWFUL recovery time. I hate it so much!
Thanks man Displacer is the truth and congrats to @Nivek getting top 8 with the Thunder God! Win that thing!Shout out to @Lil Majin for taking Raiden out of pools at FR and shout out to @Nivek for keeping the dream alive at Viennality. He just made top 8. RAIDEN IS BACK BABY!
Why is your caps lock permanently on I don't get it@Lil Majin U INSPIRED ME TO PICK UP DISPLACER. GOODSHIT AT FINAL ROUND.
MY CAPS IS BROKEN ON MY MAC.Why is your caps lock permanently on I don't get it
Somehow I don't believe that.MY CAPS IS BROKEN ON MY MAC.
WHY NOT?Somehow I don't believe that.
Seems like it's one of those gimmicks people have on forums to make them stand out, such as colored font.WHY NOT?
What would be a corner combo starting with B2?Don't diss the jazz hands bro. Sure it's -2 billion on block and whiff as Shawnzzy said, but getting 40% no meter in the corner and nigh-50% for a bar is a pretty good tradeoff.
B2, B2, B14, LRC, 214xxDB1 is 37% into a reset.What would be a corner combo starting with B2?
Thanks man, I've been away from MKX but will now have time, I appreciate your response.B2, B2, B14, LRC, 214xxDB1 is 37% into a reset.
B2, B2, B14, LRC, 213, F12B2, F12B2, 4xxDF2 is 40%. You should also try searching for Nivek's corner combos on youtube. Those are very optimized.
Thanks man. Displacer takes a lot of execution and making a lot of hard reads to be effective. It's a struggle, but it can definitely pay off.@Lil Majin U INSPIRED ME TO PICK UP DISPLACER. GOODSHIT AT FINAL ROUND.
Doing B14 as high as possible also means that B14 has to fully connect, otherwise you won't get a combo of course. The idea behind it is that if you hit B14 as high as possible (where the 4 does still connect) you have more hit advantage, thus making the combo easier to perform.Doing Raiden's b14>run cancel, I've noticed many members say it's better to hit with the b14 while the opponent is still high in the air, but if I try to do it very fast the 4 whiffs all the time, I kinda have to let the opponent fall a little to get the b14 to connect otherwise as stated I'll connect with the back 1 but the 4 whiffs. Am I doing something wrong? For example after an ex electrocute should I donthe b14 immediately or does everyone let the opponent drop a little before doing it?
Thanks bro, I understand now. One more thing, lately the lighting cancel doesn't come out consistently after the b14 connects, like the b14 will connect but instead of doing the Lightning motion so I can cancel it'll just stop there leaving Raiden in neutral, now I suck at MKX but I remember I used to be able to pull the lighting motion 100 out of 100 times, and all of a sudden I get it 50% of the time I don't know why? I mean I start the fireball motion immediately after I press the 1 so the motion is being done at the same time as I'm hitting the 4, that's how it's done right? What happened to me Lol?Doing B14 as high as possible also means that B14 has to fully connect, otherwise you won't get a combo of course. After an EX-shocker, you do have to wait a little bit before you do B14. Otherwise the 4 will whiff.
You could try F1,2 staggers although beware of low profile. You also have F4 as a low crush, which is probably the best low crush in the game. I sometimes wakeup with F4 if someone is just spamming pokes.HELP ANYONE!
What are you supposed to be doing in the nuetral with Displacer?
He's actually kinda fun, vortex seems easy too.
What should I go for if I don't want to commit to the unsafe 50/50s on b14 restand?
Thanks/what should you be going for before hitting your opponent with a combo? You could try F1,2 staggers although beware of low profile. You also have F4 as a low crush, which is probably the best low crush in the game. I sometimes wakeup with F4 if someone is just spamming pokes.
I've also seen some Displacers use F2, 2+4 I think and cancel into teleport.
Well Raiden's D3 is pretty good. It feels similar to Kenshi's D3 but with more range. But yeah Midscreen to Fullscreen tends to be where Raiden suffers. I've heard of some Displacers who cancel blockstrings into teleport away and then just follow up with F4 to try to catch the opponent by surprise. F4 has plus block adv I believe, So I guess just do something like a F2,1,B2 if they block it or F3, 2+4? Try that in the lab as one big blockstring to see if it can be effective.Thanks/what should you be going for before hitting your opponent with a combo?
projectile slow so you cant really zone to force your opponent to make mistakes, crouching pokes arent that great, frame advantage wise...
d3 is only plus 6 on hit, doesn't really guarantee much.Well Raiden's D3 is pretty good. It feels similar to Kenshi's D3 but with more range.
