MKXL Hatemail Thread Part Deux!

When I first joined psn not long ago, I was getting a LOT of hate mail for having a new account and beating everyone lol. I come from PC so it was throwing people off as to why I was so good.

At one point, someone messaged me and said I should get a job because he kept losing to me lol. I forget what the score was.

In a KOTH, someone said I was using a hacked version of the game because I never dropped combos, blocked my opponents inputs correctly every time, always landed punishes and I had multiple accounts lol.

Nowadays it's a little different. I get praised more than insulted. The beta has good players, and current MKX has a bunch of dimwits.

When I get a message after a long set on the beta I always assume it's going to be some sort of complaint about grandmaster or "ice lag." But it's always "gg fun matches" which is so god damn refreshing.

Anyway I searched for a game within one of the chat rooms (don't ask why) and invited a guy who was idle. He picked balanced kenshi and I chose spectral. His strategy consisted of jumping back to full screen and using bf3 repeatedly. While initially effective due to mkx net code, i eventually broke through and ended up winning the match in a scramble situation in the third round. He screams something into the mic then we rematch and I beat him more convincingly when he shouts "YOURE NOT EVEN GOOD YOU JUST SOME HOW WIN!" Then proceeds to go to character select and switch to possessed. I pick cryomancer assuming he planned on using teleports ad nauseum. I was correct and once again I win easily and he shouts "NO MORE! YOURE NOT GOOD DONT EVEN THINK YOURE GOOD BECAUSE YOURE GARBAGE!" Then promptly exits out. Feeling a bit trolley I proceed to invite him again and he accepts and immediately picks bone shaper. I pick scorpion and he immediately shouts "SCORPION!? REALLY!? NOOBIEST CHARACTER IN THE GAME! NO SURPRISE! SCORPION ERMAC SUB ZERO YOU ONLY PLAY NOOB CHARACTERS YOURE NOT GOOD" and drops at the select screen.

I had a very long set in the beta last night with a takeda player. That's one of my most hateful matches because I get bodied by not knowing how to deal with all the pressure. At one point I had quit the game against a different opponent earlier in the week using the same character because it was frustrating, but I stuck this one out and we went at it a good 2 hours I believe.

I improved a ton and friended each other at the end and praised the GGs we had. The beta is refreshing for me because there's a lot of good talent and no one talks shit, they all praise one another. I can only imagine what will happen come the new netcode when it's live.

I played a very good set vs someone... And during a finish him I accidentaly did Raiden's first fatality which is fbf1... I just wanted to end the match with a f1... Then he went crazy and teabagged me...

There's a photo of it on my Facebook, but I was playing this Kotal Kahn player. As I was in the middle of a Brutality, he quit, so the game gave me a Brutality and Quitality at the same time.

It was glorious.

I was once told that I only win because of my fundamentals (Yes, you heard right)... And without them I would be shitty.. And that he can beat me if I didn't have them.. Sadly, he wasn't trolling

well...he's not wrong....he probably could win if u didnt have good fundamentals , just like if i decided to walk home in a blizzard without a jacket i'd probably freeze to death, or i probably wouldnt be able to shit after eating a ton of cheese......all very very true

Its amazing the amount of salt i see on a beta. I play this guy named OMG_THIS_RANDOM and beat him 7 to 2 yesterday. I beat him the first 7 times with UB sub and he won the last 2 and quit after that. I ran into him again today and he barely beat me for the first match. After he beats me he leaves immediately(bitch move already). But then he ends up sending me a message... "You grab waaaaay 2 much im done with you". smh. i guess throwing is considered cheap now just like combo spamming.

I faught him too, he played ermac. Jumped and only knew 50/50's so it wasn't hard. And he sent me messages too, it was pretty funny.

Just finished a set with some guy in the beta. He wasn't difficult at all, very easy. He used Johnny and I used kotal (I'm still very new with him)

During the match, he would do a string and end it with his stunt double, but I would punish on reaction with a d2 or something else. I caught him jumping over me a lot too, which I would also d2.

I would bring out the damage totem and was getting a good 40-50% combo which is always nice. After I landed a big combo, he raged quit before the last round and sends me a nasty message.

And I quote: "you are the biggest maniac I've ever played please stop your fraudulent ways"

Today is looking up! LoL

There are 3 types of people that tend to send hatemail. Including:
1. Inferno Scorpion players- I dont know what it is about this variation, but they all use it exactly the same and do weird shit like d4 low minion, and a fuck load of jump in 3s, and rage really hard when the get punished for compulsively ex teleporting every single time you knock the, down.
2. Really bad connection- explains itself
3. Master of Souls Ermac- even though I think the Ermac boards are the best boards on the site, same can't be said for the character online.

Was playing ranked, used Commando Kano against Kobu Jutsu Tanya. He had a lot of wins, minimal losses, so I was kind of nervous. Then I realized, Tanya was nerfed, what am I stressing about? Play the matchup and see what happens. So he tries using the same blockstring, and somehow, my parries were on point, most of them connecting, and he never cared to hit me low, so I guess the stars aligned. I got him in the corner and did a 45% meter on him and ended the game, totally bodied him, wasn't even close.

Here comes the pain... His response

"GG [ban incoming], it must be hard being a tierwhor and having like 20% on one fucking parry. I guess NRS made those types of chars for fuckboys with no core FG fundamentals like you. Get good and step off the dick of a high tier character. No way you would have beat me without those buffs"

I have 3 experiences. One I did. And the other 2 happened to me.

Week 2 or 3 into the realease of MKX. I EXPLODED like bomb on a grandmaster player. Like I went drooly incohearant full retard with the smiley face sticker and chin strap to match. I calmed down and apologized. He wrote back I wasn't the first for the day and won't be the last.
I'll always remember that.

Faced a kid in rank like 5 times in a row after the late summer patch winning all 5 with quite a few flawless and brutalites. His mom or sister some woman came on and scolded me. Asking why I won't play nicely because he's keeping noise in the house. And tells him to get off now of that machine!
I DIED!!!

This was last week when I faced a next dude in rank. Can't remember the record but he did win over me a few times with some dlc character. Anyways he's teabagging and disco dancing and jumping carrying on like a fool and he has the balls message me about my kano tag. I was polite and told him it's was my first time I changed my tag and I just happened to find it there. He messaged me was sorry for acting a fool and wanted the tag. It came from the kano tower.
I could've told him to F off but I didn't.

It's just a game after all.

I'm honestly convinced you were playing zoofs lmao. If you're mashing d2 after a mimic shadow kick on block, yeah you're actually a total maniac.

lol I should have explained that better. He would do a string and end it to enable the mimic, but he wouldn't do anything after; no shadow kick or anything, so once I saw the mimic come out I would just d2 him. I know his mimics are plus on block lol
