Slowly starting to think this is the best variation. Rekkas are really strong during Alien pressure and hit confirmable during strings into delay to always be safe. All 3 variations are good but the extra range and Rekkas are legit.
YES ! COME TO THE LIGHT MY FRIEND!!

seriously how has nobody been with me on this. i swear to god b3 into rekkas from midscreen into 30+ on hit is just blasphemous. then on block 100% safe or semi safe w -7 rekkas? HE NEEDS IT PLZ

I don't know what you mean, I think this one of the hardest characters in the game to zone out. His JiK~TailFlip gets him in from just under fullscreen, and from midscreen he has really fast, really far advancing armor, and of course the krawl for low profiling projectiles... hes fine against lame styles and his Rekka is a great tool the other variations don't have for getting through zoning
yea i agree day 1 and 2 i was having a really hard time with sektor. but now its just so easy to low profile with crawl, b3 from midscreen OR F4 into rekkas if they throw out up rockets and it whiffs. then once u are in, resets into 50/50 and corner carry ect. just get your spacing down and its pretty serviceable

I'm loving how pressing F1 on block twice, carries them from past midscreen all the way to the corner. And gives you 12% chip and a bar of meter

You can basically live by this F1 but I'm going to make a more in depth guide to his footsies tomorrow

21 is so nice on defense you just cannot run at Tarkatan, such an amazing hitconfirmable high string, but his buttons are so nice, that BjK, his backdash, his movespeed, B3 into Rekka, raw Rekka itself, sick D1, sick D4, this character just excels at catching opponents pressing buttons

I love this, because no matter what bullshit a character has, 5 way hard to block mix-ups, whatever - you still gotta win the neutral to apply em

For your restands, if you want to create a true vortex, use 33 instead of rekka,1. f4 and b3 still hit afterwards and are jailed in so long as you are frame perfect (33 leaves you +19 so b3 has a 1 frame window to jail)
lol wow i was wondering about this but i didn't know if i was testing it right. gg no re NRS

37% 1 bar corner 214, db1, 12, ex crawl, 214, xstrike
40% 1 Bar Corner

214~EX-Spin, U3, U3, F134~XStrike

that being said, I see no point to using that opener in the corner, as is just like 1 frame faster than our Mid, except it's a High, does less damage, and on block does less chip and has no mid string 50/50 mix-up, so I feel like it's not a very important combo. Good to know we can combo meterless off F13 with Chop Chop however, I'll definitely add that option in.

EDIT: doesn't work on Cassie. Can someone test which characters it does work on before I post it up so I'm not putting up misinformation, don't want people struggling for hours to do a combo that doesn't work on their specific opponent without knowing

It's my next thing.

For today, I've updated a few choice combo's in the section, including F13(4) mix-up for midscreen, and squeezing and extra 1% out of our 50/50 in the corner with a combo even easier than the last one.

Also, @BarterRaccoon - you maining Xeno now (out of the new characters)?

You can swap out the 12 for a d1 and combo for less damage.

Is there any good low starting combos that don't use the rekkas. I'm having trouble converting it after the b3 and would rather have a backup option until I get use to it.

Not really, whats wrong with the Rekkas? It's really easy to convert off and you have all the time in the world

I guess you could cancel B3 into Blade Spin but I see no reason why it would be an easier, and it means you are full combo punishable everytime your opponent guesses right on the 50/50, as opposed to being completely safe, 4% chip, and building 50% of a bar

Yeah, you're right, I get to hyped in matches and input the rekkas to fast which is why I was having trouble with it. Now that I'm slowing it down those combos aren't to difficult. I must say Alien is really fun, was planning on maining Cyrax but the fanboy in me made the switch and no regrets.
