In Zoning We Trust
Things I noticed after rewatching (multiple times lol) the minimal gameplay we've been shown that haven't been mentioned much or at all.

-The Tarkatan variation seems to have a godlike NJP, but the regular NJP looks to be below average in range.

-The Konjurer variation Face Hugger seems to be trap in nature, and activated once Jacqui landed in the circle. Jacqui does her BF1, lands in the circle, then the Hugger pops out. Hopefully that means it's unblockable for such a setup.

-A flurry that can be cancelled into. From the bounce at the end of it, it looks like an EX would pop up.

-In the Acid variation there is also an acid puddle steaming under Alien while he tosses acid at Jacqui.


Speculation is killing me!!! One more day!!!

The acidic variation looks like it could be a combination of venomous d'vorah and noxious reptile. Maybe the acid that's dripping from alien's tail can cause extra chip damage for all tail based attacks. Along with the acid blood and acid puddle, this variation definitely interests me the most. But either way, I can't wait to see all of the variations in action. They all look awesome.

just thinking if Alien will recieve 1 or maybe 2 or maybe 3 unblockables moves one for each variation , Preatorian unblockable facehugger , Drone Unblockable acid blood , Warrior (tarkatan) Unblockable acid chop chop ..... ALIEN >>>> ALL

In the Konjurer variation, I just had a thought! What if, whatttt iffff, the EX second Alien that came down after the Face Hugger. What if the Alien Drop is like Tremor's Rock Drop, Sektor's Up Missile, etc, tracking over the opponents head. Or a close/medium/far special??? :eek:

All this time I've been thinking of it like any special, but thinking about it almost all the "Sky dropping" specials that have projectile properties are tracking/directable. Those mentioned, Necro Shinnok's, Kenshi's, Cassie's, etc! If it functions with tracking or position directing it's gonna be HUGE! :eek:

I really really hope he isn't a jason (he really looks like he isn't thank god) and i do hope he has some sort of zoning. Or a zoning variation.

I doubt it. If you rewatch the second to last episode of Chasing the Cup the Alien has some sort of airborne pounce move. Hopefully this will counter zoning. I still have a little hope that the Alien will get some sort of projectile. Hell, if they have Leatherface a zoning variant, I don't see any reasons to not give Alien one.

We shall see though. Not long now to see the perfect organism in action.

It would be sooooo easy to give Alien a projectile. The had the "falling Alien" move, so they could make a running Alien special. Similar to Noob Saibot's Shadow Clone Tackle. I would die!
