You didn't fix it. Lethal killing machine is redundant. Calling him lethal already means he kills. Try lethal war machine at least it sounds fucking metal.
If we're talking souls of characters and who the identity of tetraborg actually is, there's only one that's accounted for, and that's Kuai Liang Sub-Zero.

Kuai Liang is in human sub from this game. That being said, when CSZ dies in MK9, his soul returns as human in MKX. Maybe when Noob is thrown in the soulnado in MK9, his soul also comes back human in MKX, he somehow goes on to cyber initiative. It could be that CSZ is Bi Han's displaced soul. This is probably the most interesting theory, but I would say he's only the third most likely as he has to cyberize somehow afterwards, making the explanation for all that more cumbersome.
But the Smoke from the Netherrealm only went by Enenra which leads me to believe Human Smoke's soul is either in there or perhaps he is actually Robo-Smoke (ambiguity on that deems him unaccounted for.). This could be interesting, but it would be hard to explain how he got Cyber'd upon his return or how he returned when Enenra didn't for that matter, so he's imo the second least likely.
Sektor is dead, but his soul is not seen in the Netherrealm, so he could be it (unlikely though, as he wouldn't pick his own head up, I think. But he was leader of the Tekunin in Armageddon, so I wouldn't completely rule him out.) This guy is least likely and who I would prefer least in terms of plot.
Cyrax is 100% missing, nowhere to be found dead or alive. Unless they killed him in the comic or some other outlet I'm not aware of. It would be easiest to explain it as him so far as story writing is concerned. This makes him my second most likely candidate, but a little bit dull as it would be like "Hey, I was just hanging out somewhere while all the events of MKX were going down, sorry I'm late.".
1st most likely candidate is an entirely new like...AI character who's only ability comes from downloading that of other characters. This would be fun as a side villain in the story because he could capture more combatants, cyberize them and then download them making him kind of like Seth from SF4 or Sylar from Heroes or something. Kind of a fun final boss idea, although he would be lacking that "end of all things" threat to the universe like Shinnok or Shao Kahn, so I don't know if they'd run THAT far with it lol.
TL DR; it could be any one of the original cyber ninjas except probably Kuai Liang, it could be an entirely new one, we don't know with current information imo sorry if this is derailing yatta yatta.
as a flame fist main I would quite like a parry like his, but from the moves list we saw he doesn't have one, unless it's one of those randomly unlisted moves but I think it's just gone because this drone may serve to be a defensive tool perhaps his play style just doesn't call for a parry.

Kuai Liang uses a pendrive (given to him by Bo Rai Cho who is helping him finding a purpose on life after the blood curse and originally stolen by Kung Jin) to corrupt the cyber Lin Kuei system, allowing Cyrax to have free will. Kuai Liang defeats Sektor decapitating him after making him misscalculate his real power by holding back during the whole fight and Cyrax is designated as new "prime" cyborg by the system which means he has control over the cyber Lin Kuei, which he uses to autodestruct the whole thing (including himself) after thanking Kuai Liang for those brief moments of free will and Kuai Liang is left with the task of reforming the Lin Kuei into a force of good.
Before the battle Kuai Liang witnesses how Sektor is cloning Lin Kuei cyborgs in mass. All those cyborgs are self destructed with Cyrax but my personal theory (if Tri-Borg is a canon character which he probably isn't) is that Sektor had a backup plan in a different base in case he was defeated. My initial theory was really about Sektor transfering his mind to a cloned cyborg on that backup base to make Sektor return as his own playable character.
I didn't see anything from his move set that would make him quan tier.
There are characters like quan that should be good just by their toolset, doesn't always happen.

Honestly Triborg having 4 variations pisses me off to no end grammatically and game wise. No Spawn, Rain, or Sindel yet another version of Sub in a QUADbot. Might as well put Frost in the game while we're at it.
those 3 chars are cool but we just got 7 new chars (and the robots are the best chars in mk history all opinions aside) so lets not be greedy. Leatherface is eh and def shouldve been Sindel ill give you that. Frost is the worst MK char ever and I would attack NRS with lethal force if they put that meaningless cuntbag in the game

I didn't say anything that that could be considered "worked up" I just find your logic faulty.
We haven't even seen his entire move set or normals. The initial pause move list is not a full move list, as you'd see if you went into versus and paused.
All they have to do is make quan chis mixup game super punishable, it doesnt make sense that Raiden has no good mid starters and -1000 OH, with shit zoning- but then for some reason quan chi not only gets the best zoning, he gets a legit 50/50? Just give him the zoning and a very risky mixup game, not the best zoning AND the best 50/50?
NRS you make the same mistake every game, you make one or two chars be great in multiple aspects, MMH had zoning, anti zoning, and rushdown, Kabal had zoning, anti zoning (mb dash), and rushdown.
