You grew up with MK and I didn't so it would be a lie to say I know how you're feeling. My friend showed me mk9 when I was too young to buy it in stores so I had to buy it off kijiji. Although I grew up casually with soul calibur and street fighter games, mk9 was the first I took super seriously. I poured hours into perfecting 80% cyrax resets and kabal ndc combos, all for basically nothing as I couldn't find anyone who was as serious as me to play with, but I was content with lurking tym as well as following the tourney scene.
MKX is the only game I've ever preordered and watched every single trailer for on the day it came out. I was one of the many people who suffered through the midnight launch of MKX on steam as it never came and I stayed awake the whole night waiting on nothing. People are flipping out at my post because they're blinded by greed. I feel bad for tourney players that were PC, but at least they had a scene in the first place, not everyone had that opportunity. If you think not being able to play a video game is so suffering that you consider it masochism - equal to being beaten by your father, then what do you call it when someone is barely even to make ends meet everyday? "Console gaming is a luxury some people can't afford", and I guess gaming PCs are grown on trees and are a necessity to living? It took 3 months to fix MKX, did you lose anything of actual importance? People threw their money into preorders months before release, and you always had the option to wait for reviews before purchasing it. If you spent $80 on a video game for your gaming pc, don't act like you gambled your life savings on it. In this thread I see 40 pages of pitchforks, yet I'm the one being called a sheep and a hypocrite.
Anyways, back to your question. I heard sf5 and ki3 have low execution requirement. Can't say about guilty gear though.
