Well then, there you have it: Scorpion is buffed and Smoke nerfed to further distinguish the two. What's the problem? As for MUGEN, you just make me repeat myself. It really doesn't matter whether it's the code or characters... The fact is that the thing (MUGEN) plays like shit and isn't even worth the time. However, giving the people a possibility of altering UMK3's original code is almost certain to flood the internet with unfinished and horribly unbalanced half-ass projects similar in gameplay to MUGEN. I feel that this project, on the other hand, is delivered with a dose of professionalism and long time gaming experience and I would therefore hate to see it fall in obscurity in favor of aforementioned hacks.
You were the one who stated that people like MKT because it gives to them the OP Scorp they wanted so much.
The point is that the said Scorp buff and Smoke nerf, could've just as, if not more, easily happen if the knowledge of altering the UMK3 code was made public.

You're really repeating me here but in more explicit way. By saying that MUGEN doesn't plays like the arcade, It is an obvious implication that it is shit.

Don't get me wrong, I don't deny that but I also feel that out there there might be other people with just as much/more experience/skill of the game and programming knowledge who could do/help/revive the community with their projects.
It really just feels like "muh elitilism", "my secret closed club", "muh special experiance and only I can do it right" attitude.
I don't see how it would any damage. Shitty umk3 mods overshadowing UMK3TE? I don't know about you but regardless of any other possible umk3 hack, I'm still going to play UMK3 TE, imo it really delivers the balance. I think people who are looking forward to TE would play it aswell.
So we have this small community of people who want to play TE, knowledge goes public, more umk3 hacks pop up, the same community will still play TE, but on top of that, you have more people catching interest in UMK3 as a game to mod and through that, more people may notice TE and get some interest in it. Don't you think TE would benefit from it in the long run anyway?
