@evolution83 I think I see where you're coming from on the control issue. I had problems for a while as well. I had never played a dial-a-combo system before MKX, so I basically thought if you just dial everything in at first, then the game should do what you told it, right?
Wrong. The game doesn't work this way (though I sometimes wish it did.) Example Liu Kang F213, BF1 -This should do the F213 string, and then end in a standing fireball. But if you put it in too fast, it doesn't. It'll sometimes throw a low fireball because low fireball uses 3. Even if you put the inputs in correctly, if you do it too fast you'll always get a low fireball.
That's because this game doesn't work in terms of absolute dial-ins. It works in terms of timing windows. That's why when you slow down your inputs, you will almost always have better success- you'll hit the right windows for inputs. You weren't very specific, so I can only give you general advice on this. Practice what you're trying to do as slow as possible for it to still work, and then as fast as possible. Find out where the timing windows are, and use character animations to associate with those windows.
If you have any questions, just hit me up and I'll try to help. I also always pimp out this guide to everyone. It's where I started to really learn how the game works- http://testyourmight.com/threads/the-absolute-beginners-guide-to-commando-kano.55270/
