Eclipse kick is the EX version which USUALLY is -4 on block and has armour and does more damage, it actually gets worse when you have mimic up.
I know that, i was saying that at first, i thought that this change would make it a blockstring... bc it actually changed nothing =/

Right. There is zero real utility to it. I don't understand the changes to SDJC. They lazily parched him and didn't seem to take more than 5 minutes to test him after they did.
I haven't tested it yet can you not get block strings off now than you couldn't before? Let me test

So quan gets two huge buffs, and we get a slightly safer move that should never have been unsafe in the first place, a half assed attempt at fixing hitbox issues and some nice stealth nerfs... NRS WHY DO YOU HATE CAGE

I know why it does this

It's because you can't option select reversal anymore so you can't hold block
To run cancel now you need to release block

From what I can tell its a universal change, you cannot buffer run during cancels. You must cancel into dash then hit block. This makes it pretty difficult to cancel properly off a lot of things cage does. F2 SKRC particularly seems to be hit hard. Personally, cancelling off F3 is hard for me too (to get proper timing on block) though I feel like that one might be doable. F2 and B34 seem like the hardest hit for me.

If my theory is true about it being a universal change, I think all SKRC may be reduced by 1 frame of advantage as well. Its hard to say though. Doing them perfectly now will require another just frame input I believe, hitting block on the first frame possible, if block cannot be buffered.

Lol NRS never fails to disappoint. This game is officially a joke, tis a good thing we have SF5 in the near future. In the mean time I'll be on GG and Ultra, peace. Good luck to those of you sticking it out, I respect that :)

So after a bit of messing about with the new patch on SD I have noticed a few things:
2,1 animation is sped up. Still has the same startup after testing but the hitbox changes made it look funky and hit lower to the ground.
f2,4 juggles higher: f24 12 12 f3xnutpunch is fucking easy midscreen.
12 gravity changes : in the corner pre patch you got f24 12, 12, 12, 12, 113x nut now can get f24 12 12 12 12 12 12 2xnut for like 36% without clones... and its not even a struggle to get like 5 or 6 lots of 12 in the corner.
also 114 is bitchin

The hitbox issues seem to have been more or less fixed, though not completely.
The current speedy 21 helps to get a few more damage in the corner and makes some combos easier to end, and as some pointed out, f24 now can be easily followed up (offline, online is still hard) by a 12 instead of the d1. This change of speed doesn't seem to have more uses.
F34 is safe, but it should have been this way since the beggining, because is a 2 hit non special cancelable combo...come on xD
Apart from that, stunt double remains more or less the same, A-List (if they correct the rc mistakes) the same, and Fisticuffs is still mediocre.

Anyway, I'm still maining Fisticuffs, hope in the future he gets the help he needs. Seeing that nrs did Kano damage buff comboable, would be great that Cage Fistbump had a similar treatment in next updates.

Yesterday i got just about 30 min of playtime, so i tested a little of the new patch, the 21 feels really fast, i didnt noticed f24 juggle but if what you said is true this is fucking awesome!

2,1 feels fast but it is still the same startup frames, so who knows.

What does everyone think of Johnny Stunt Double getting his Mimic recovery reduced, its like 7+seconds long?

i know that could possibliy make his a huge frame trap monster, but i know there is a middle ground... what does TYM think the recovery should be?

in a weird way i thank NRS for making this patch, it forced me to try SD JC instead of always using A-List.
i honestly think
Johnny is one of the funnest characters on this game....

on another note:
what the hell did they do to Fistycups Speedbag... basically turned it into a corner only move and even then i think it pushes yourself back right?

I main SD and its great. Has its moments but it can do pretty much everything A list could just doesnt have as many tick throws, making your pressure look a bit samey. The Mimic recovery is fine as im used to the timing and know when to try and pull them out, when to go for a throw or something. Also ive not touched fistycuffs outside training mode in a long while, sorry.

Besides the hitbox fixes that affect the three variations, SD feels the same. A-List has lost block advantage but i hope the fixes will roll back to his previous state. We probably will have to say thanks for staying like we were before, in a patch full of buffs.

I main fisticuffs and it's probably the variation more benefited by the safe F34, because many times you are force to whiff punish stuff with that. But that's not an improvement, that string should always have been save.

Speedbag looks the same after this patch. The previous patch destroyed it as a pressure tool, now sadly you have to see it more like a bait tool. People know that can punish staggers easily now,so trying to use that at our advantage with staggering and blocking is the thing.

That stealth buff to F24 is pretty damn nice. I could also pull it off online as long as the connection was good.

F24, 12, 12, B2~mimic call is a fairly safe way to get mimics out, and it gets you 21%.

Didn't have time to check but I'm excited to see what kind of changes his bnbs could go through.

Can anyone get 114SKRC to jail into F24 anymore?
i havent been able to so far... hope this changes, it seems they did somthing with buffer frames.. but then again i always had a problem with that, and always did it about 3 frames late, so while you guys got +20 on block i got around +15 to+17
