I don't think devs will add new tick throws, since it requires to mess with startup, blockstun or cancel advantage of normal you will cancel to throw or the c.throw itself. If they change startup of c.throw so it will be slow enough to land after blockstun of normal\string it will kill c.throw as move. If they reduce blockstun or change cancel advantage - there will be a chance that will create a gap if canceled to other specials on block, plus the move will probably be less advantageous on hit, so that can remove some other setups.

In the ~Patch note previews~ it's said Commando could be getting a pop up string. A brand new string.
If it tickthrows in anyway, Commando mix up is increasing by about 500% :^)

Could you imagine if it was like Lobo's 12xxToss in Injustice? A string that ticked into throw AND on hit also combo'd into the throw.
I really, really hope this happens. Please, NRS. Pls.

He doesn't need a pop up; he already confirms anything on hit into ball cancel. People talk about this character as if he has no damage threat but these combos aren't very hard honestly, and this talking point doesn't come into it at high level.

Choke being less minus on hit would be great, but I think he needs a string that ticks.

F33 is a 2 hitting string that only ticks on the second hit, it would be good if it ticked off f3 as well. B1 being a better stagger would help also.

But to make B1 a tick throw, wouldn't they have to make it more negative on block? I already liked my b1(3) mind games :c
Hopefully the fabled new string will bring us salvation.

Doubt they'll add a new string but if they do I want it to be plus, tickable and also a meterless launcher. AT LEAST.

But no in all honesty I'd take fixed whiff issues and ticks over this pop up, but hopefully I'll get it all.

Bro these combos aren't very hard. All the timing is the same as well so all you have do it is get the one timing down. I can now do them consistently.

Again, the argument that he doesn't get high damage is not high level. If you're making this talking point, then you need to level up. Not a shot at you, I mean in general.

He doesn't need a damage fix because the issue isn't with the character, it's with the players. If these combos were ridiculously hard then maybe, but they aren't. They're a bit tricky, but anyone who is putting time into Commando should be able to do them at this stage, we're 4 months in.

Jax has hard combos than Commando.

Lack of damage isn't a talking point at high level when the damage is available, come on man. He can do the damage, the players can't. Jax's combos are inconsistent across hurtboxes/genders.

About Coach Steve, I think he's a great player and I love watching him play but 1). He's doing lower damage corner combos, 2). He's not executing the midscreen njp combos 3). He's hit confirming things into choke instead of regular kano ball 4). He's using d4 point blank instead of d3. Just because he is a high level plaer doesn't mean he can't improve on specific aspects of his game, nor does it mean that the character can't be pushed further. This is not a call out or disrespectful, it is the truth.

And yes, they should be doing the ball cancel combos all the time. If you're going to take this variation to a tournament, then you need to level up your execution. The Kano forums would have you believe that they are virtually impossible and wholy inconsistent, when in fact they are doable with practice and completely consistant.

This 'low damage' thing needs to die, and people need to level up.

@Youphemism rib breaker was actually part of that string and not a grab on its own back then. This is just the string of f33 1+3 but then they changed it to make rib breaker a special.

That's exactly what I was thinking.
Burning the end of the woodchipper string like that other string cybernetic has.
So Kano would slam them into the ground and they'd bounce up like Kotal's MB air grab.

I just don't like 32. it does have a lot of hit advantage, but It's still like my second least used string

I always thought Commando just needed some grab whiff tweaks and other small fixes. This news about him receiving a buff is insanity and I love it. As for Cybernetic, the fact that it's receiving the up laser tweak or anything is a godsend!
