You are blaming online for getting hit by low minions and I am telling you that you would get hit by them offline aswell.

Doesn't tell much, but good job. If you react like that offline, you will most likely be solid with your defence online aswell.

the only difference is that even if i can react it to it. Trying to change from low block to high block doesn't happen instantly like offline. It's legit a guess when you're playing online at some points. I know you're trying to defend online and what not man but honestly.....you gotta cut it out and just admit you can get away with more bullshit online. I admit i get away with bullshit online all the time lol

Of course you can get away with some stuff online, never tried to defend that. But I am sick of people who are blaming online for their lack of skill.

I was big online warrior in mk9,mkx not so much. The net code is just bad and the thing is I have good internet. It's just the lag for bnbs that kills me.

Now it's not all the way unless since they were good xp against a few guys,play long sets and learn the meta game for a few characters,but most of the time, you can't really learn anything since most of the ppl you play just d3 teleport uppercut all day. And while you miss your simple bnbs, you have a salty situation(if salty situation haven't been coined yet, it's mine phrase) knowing they wouldn't get away offline. I have taught a good friend of mines,which is a tekken player,the game and tell him what characters to use so we can play countless games and learn matchups

But your online working for you and you are having fun,good for you. It's just not my cup of minute maid. Now it's just eso,halo, and payday is all I play now. Hell I might as well give killer instinct a go too

Lol at underestimating the significance of someone's true reaction time (which you will lose some of online regardless of how "good" the connection is). It's nothing to sneeze at.
This is probably the worst netcode I've dealt with input-wise, besides maybe KOFXIII, but I still get use out of it as I'm learning the game. I just take the stuff I see people do with their characters online, then go to training mode and test to see if it would be legit offline or if I could actually punish it easily.

My main's fastest punish is 10 frames.

Online is often not fun as a result.

Not much opportunity for offline play where I live though, so...

I actually played a friend of mine with a 1 bar connection and it was better than most ranked matches with 3 or 4 bars. The connection display lies and is not accurate all the time. When we finished I wanted o e more shot at his Ermac so I challenged him again and it was magically 4 bars. So take from this what you want.

Facepalm... can you please point out in what part of my earlier posts did I say that I was getting hit by low minion!
I only used that as an example because I know you play scorpion and again I have to say that the problem isn't if you're going to be hit by a special or not, it's about reacting accordingly to it.

It's a fact that reacting online is not as easy due to the poor state of the netcode and if you put your opponent in a position to react you will benefit by it.

How many times have any of you played some random scrub online and they start doing teleports on block that you should easily punish but end up not punishing because the delay shortens the time you have to react to them.

Bottom line is there is absolutely no point in playing online if you have an offline alternative but for the rest of us who don't,we have to bare with this "improved netcode" and make the best of it.

It's as pointless as it gets unless you're playing esl and even then you better pray to online gods to give you a good match online lol
