Doesn't make me feel anything. When MIT picked scorpion over the rest of the good cast against Detroitballn doesn't make scorpion good. Its match-up knowledge, and familiarity against the character.

Reptile is fine. Please stop.

That was a video that warned about how awful Jax is to deal with in the corner and nothing more.

What am I looking at here that confirms he's bottom tier? You see Chris G being able to poke out of the pressure and have options, Tyrant Jax is godlike.

Reptile couldn't poke, couldn't armor, couldn't dash which is why he almost got double flawlessed lol. Please don't post videos that you don't even know what to look for. The outcome of the match has nothing to do with the tools and options available.

I saw ChrisG lose to a Jax in the corner on literally every character he played including Scorpion, Kung Jin, and yup, even Goro. Is Reptile's situation a little worse in the corner? Maybe so (though I think an ex-slide would have worked instead of his claw armor attempt and his inexplicable ex-dash attempt).

My point was simply the inanity of posting a video as proof (and the following circlejerk of which you are a par) that a character is broken based off of one video when what I saw is simply that Jax is fucking strong and even solid tier'd characters like Scorpion and Kung Jin have a hell of a time vs his corner pressure.

And if we were holding everyone to the "don't even know what to look for" standard, no one would be posting shit in this cesspool of a thread.

I thought this thread was finally starting to head into a positive direction lol. Why are all the non reptile players so against us having safer options when characters like kung Jin can literally 111 out of our pressure and full combo punish every special?

You guys are starting to make me wonder if you have even taken him to the lab before you make claims about "he's fine" gtfo lol

I play Reptile. For the record "fine" does not mean "top tier", and that's why this thread is such a shit show. A huge portion of participants here won't be satisfied until Reptile isn't just top tier but truly dumb. I think most people are fine with the notion of slightly faster FB (whether we think he needs them or not), but most of the changes are truly fucking moronic.

A few pages back someone was trying to get 211+3 made safer on block... what... we can't fucking confirm now?!? There's another push to give him the single fastest reversal option in the game. It is a pretty common request to give Reptile a lightening fast, armored 50/50 in the form of overhead ex-swipe. These requests are far past the "little help" that people claim he needs.

As much as I would love for him to be a braindead character with massive damage and safe 50/50 armored launchers, he really doesn't need a lot to get where he should be (is top 15 too much to ask? lol) being able to sustain a little bit of pressure would be cool. Making force balls more useful would be great. Right now, eating full combos is the best way to build meter and that is a stupid issue as well lol

I would like better frames on his pokes OR a faster elbow dash

Better recovery on forceballs OR property changes to them like making them a meaty mid

Don't even want (or need) a damage buff.

You're just taking multiple people's requests and lumping them all into one and pretending we're all wanting Reptile to be number one. Most are not saying that. We just want him to not be ass.

You're off on some weird holier than thou anti bottom reptile agenda or some shit. It's kinda comical at this point.

When did I imply Jax was broken? It was simply to show that Reptile has no options vs rushdown characters midscreen or in the corner at a high level to support my OP...... I really don't understand the hatred in this thread.

Well you could get 31% out of it if you b3 EX klaw instead of just b34, if you're playing vs a character who can punish b34, might as well make it hurt if it hits.

You could combo with ex fast forceball after b3, but... super punishable. Ex Klaw is also punishable... lol

Reptiles b3 is totally safe. Perform EX claw as an OS and you'll be taking very low risk performing your b3, and you'll then have a safe 50/50 that launches if you use meter.

Claiming b3 ex claw is unsafe, is like if I ran around complaining about raiden b2 being unsafe. Option selects exist to make you safe, I would like to see players incorporate this instead of complaining about it being unsafe.

Its all about the timing of it right? If you do b3 and input ex claw slightly later than just dial in it won't come out vs block but will on hit?
