Gesture Required Ahead

Get on that hook
I dont think it does, we're mostly in agreement that he needs SOMETHING, we all seem to have different opinions on what it is which is cool. Except for Joker, I have no fucking idea what that dude is talking about lol

Its nice to see normal discussion without the getting childish and turning it into a flame thread like a large majority of TYM. Granted there is some in here but most of it has been people debating reasonably which is a nice change.
Father Cossner hit me but I forgive him

The problem is that you're looking and LK like if fighting games were "you do the oh/low" as the be all end all. 1) you're conditioning the opponent to block low always, use this as an advantage. 2) Lk can play a heavy keep away game. 3) your pressure builds insane meter.

But whatever I dont understand why this Reptile thread became the Lk thread.
No, I'm not. I'm saying that in this game OH/low are the be all end all. I'm also not asking for an overhead starter. I'm asking for his overhead link to actually hit. I'm not even addressing the fact that you can armor through his overhead in his 113 string. I'm asking that it's high property needs to be turned into a mid.

And that's all I'm asking. Apparently that's too much because it's TOO HARD to deal with the possibility of having to block high on ocasion against Liu kang.

1) I'm conditioning them to block low... so what? They still don't have to guess because Liu has nothing to open them up. "oh but you can throw" and anyone who is not a total idiot is seeing that throw coming from miles away. On average I, who is not a tournament player, get hit with that throw in 1/4 times. I wait until Liu deplets his stamina bar and then either tries to back away for some zoning or does something punishable.

2) "heavy keep away game" ha. haha. Sure. So can Mileena right? His is as heavy as Reptile's. It's serviceable. Reptile's might actually be better since his albeit slow forceball grants him a mixup.

3) Wonder how Liu can use that meter to open people up... I mean it isn't like he is Reptile and gains a 50/50 into a full combo with it.

It's wierd how you keep pointing out his strenghts, which he shares with nearly 90% of the cast and yet fail to point out his weaknesses which he shares with one character in the roster. This character who happens to have some strenghts of her own in her fans toss.

Sheeva isn't Goro's wife. Goro is her husband.
Goro can interrupt opponents strings into a 30% combo into a setup... and that probably carries them to the corner. Show me where reptile can do something like that? What with his armored slide that knocks down? No? hmm...
That happens a lot less than you may think. Unless I'm burning 2 meters or am near a corner already, his corner carry isn't that great unless he punch walks, which means scaling kills his damage. People don't realize just how little damage this character does in TWO Combos. Any character can hit hard with one combo. But if it leaves you far away with no advantage, that's where your damage ends.

You need MU's to determine where characters sit in the game on top off all that other stuff, as they are pointless without one another, stop with that noise.
No you don't but I guarantee you this. You will not see Reptile being picked in the Top 8 at EVO this year because of his tool set and how it matches up with the Top 5 - 10 of this game.

What characters can't reptile play the neutral with that aren't already considered top tier?
Thank you. You said it perfectly. This is the argument the sub zero players made about ice clone being fine pre-patch. Just because a few, maybe even HALF of characters can do something about it, the other half of us were playing solitaire. So I'm playing Goro/Cage and just asking myself... what do I do since I have no meter. Usually, I would walk away and get a drink, come back and now I have meter and can play again.

Reptile is very strong against "us half" :(. Just putting that out there.

but you do have overheads... And a mix up with the 113... That grans you even more pressure which you can make safe by using the meter you just earned.. Am i missing something here?

Thats not what keep away means. You have a fast OH, you have one of the best projectiles in the game and one of the best d3s in the game. No idea what reptile or mileena have anything to do with that.
3) Wonder how Liu can use that meter to open people up... I mean it isn't like he is Reptile and gains a 50/50 into a full combo with it.
Reptile gains a 50/50 into a full combo with a bar? What? You mean he gets an extra 10%, not even breaking the 30% bar right?
It's wierd how you keep pointing out his strenghts, which he shares with nearly 90% of the cast and yet fail to point out his weaknesses which he shares with one character in the roster. This character who happens to have some strenghts of her own in her fans toss.
No he doesn't lol no one has your projectile game, not everyone has your meter building capacity or safeness.

Literally any of this has nothing to do with reptile.

Cage destroys reptile what da fuck am I reading.
And after playing against Reo's Goro no idea where you think this massive advantage comes from.

The only two things reptile is bottom 5 in are: 1) costumes and 2) voice actor. Actually, he's probably bottom one in both.
Why the hate on the costumes? I love his normal, klassic and creature from the black lagoon costumes. His alt sucks though

Im convinced that you guys are just a bunch of scrubs, who want him to be top 5. Not everyone can be top 5. You want him to have no flaws. Dont want to earn anything, just want to be able to start the game, and properly play the match-up, without having to switch-up, but with the same gameplan. Rather than just ask for Simple changes to help him compete better.

B2 is overhead..and safe, comboos. OH NO, but thats NOT GOOD ENOUGH. He should be able to get something off of that..ON BLOCK.

Asking for buffs to make him a top 5 character... Rather than just being a Top player , playing with a potential top 10 char. Just switch characters scrubs

You would be interrupting with punchwalk though... and that pushes them hella far. End with that grab and that's pretty good corner carry and that can lead to using that ground pound move.
