wait for what? so half a year can pass and patching stops?
I think this is getting taken out of context. Tom wants him to be left alone for now as he "sees" nothing wrong with the character, and like all of us, we need to see more of what this character might actually need, or if he needs anything. We're pretty sure two variations of his are shit, but sometimes you can use shit as fertilizer and something may come about them. Also, Impostor still likely needs to be fully examined. That's the one variation not a lot of people have spent time with.

I mean there's hotfixes and everything so I don't think you have to worry about the "patch cycle".

His special movewhere he thows his fireball up from the ground seem alot faster than Shang Tsung's in MK9.

He's fine, wait it out.
If you mean on an overall balance perspective....maybe. I doubt it, but i've been wrong before. Dude could use some buffs in my eyes.

That said if you mean he shouldn't be touched at all you're high. Who else in the cast has an EX move that looks identical to it's normal variant, and yet will drop in situations where the non EX hits? If someone else does have that problem it's absolutely not ok, and totally stupid to be dealing with. I'm fine with character specific stuff, but EX specific on a move that by all means looks identical? At the very least I expect crap like that to be patched, and a heavy look at the necro tracking.

Really I feel the only reason he's doing even remotely ok right now is because people haven't labbed him. So many streams have guys just blocking hellsparks and doing nothing (when at worst they should run up, and at best have an actual punish), or not just walking forward to dodge necro zoning. Really the only reason shinnok isn't worse, is because people sorta know he's bad, but don't know why, and then don't research. God forbid anyone actually does ok with him and people start taking him seriously, he's going to evaporate overnight.

So sick of repeating my self, shinnok is not that bad. All He needs is a safer 3 hit hell sparks and maybe a dmg buff ( maybe) other then that it's all bug fixes. And I guess if nrs was feeling Generous they could give him a OH starter. Personally I'm doing great with him placed 5th at pretty stacked tournament beat out erron blacks, sonya blades ,Cassie cages kung laos dvoarhs etc and no they weren't scrubs I just out played them with my shinnok. And half of the players figured out how to punish hell sparks, the other half parished muahahah

So after harassing Tom Brady on his stream to explain why Shinnok is supposedly 'fine'.

He selects the character, picks Bone Shaper and does Scepter Launch and then shouts for five minutes.

No detailed explanation of why he actually thinks the character is fine, nothing about the character's specific strengths or things to be careful of. No, just shouting.

Then picks Cassie and start going into full detail about her toolset and such.

Tom and Wound Cowboy are still my favourite MK9 players so the respect will always be there. However, it's pretty obvious that he did not have something substantial to say about the character.

It would be sick if they made it so scepter slam could be canceled then I'd be fine with hell spark being punished

And before this happens, because it could, a top player doing well with Shinnok doesn't mean he's all of a sudden a good character. I seriously doubt any top player taking MKX seriously will train with Shinnok because they actually want to accomplish something in the game, but I felt the need to throw this out there just in case it happens.
