People wondering about Dark Empress Kitana, a website states you can unlock it by leveling Brotherhood of Shadow Faction to Level 35 or by beating a premium tower with Goro
I was Black Dragon when I unlocked her.
It appears she is unlocked on completing your 10th tower.
Everyone I've seen that unlocked her got her upon completing a tower.
Still in the dark in regards to Dark Emperor Liu Kang though.
I don't know if it was found already, but after some searching I was able to get 2nd player alternate colour costume on PC. I don't think keys mapping have anything to do with that, but if you choose your costume and press "insert", you'll get alt colour. Character will get selected though colour will not change, you'll see it after maps loads up.
