They have Fraud City in lower Manhattan on Baxter street. It had strong play and really good competition last week. I'm going next week on the 30th. They have it every other Thursday.

Next level is in Brooklyn a little farther out. But also has really good competition and its on Wednesdays.

Those are the locals that I know of. There's a lot of players in nyc though, we need to do a better job of uniting.

Don't Listen, Save Money
So I've gotten in contact with @PharmDGamer and @Jeremy KO to gauge interest in starting a local in the Hudson Valley general area. Somewhere in Dutchess or Westchester county likely. I should be able to host in a month or two, but finding a venue wouldn't be a bad idea either. I know Clarksons Corner in Scarsdale would be easy to get, as KPB used to run locals there, but that's pretty far still. If I see more interest I have a few possibilities for a weekly or biweekly in the area I can pursue. Feel free to PM me if you are in the area and might be interested in something like this.

I was just asking Revolver about this. We have all these New Yorkers but it seems like there are small circles of players and everyone else is kinda just on their own. Typical New York stuff. -.-

I really dislike online in comparison to offline so I'd prefer leveling up with players. What borough are you in? I'm in the Bronx but often play at my friends house in Brooklyn.

I like in Harlem....We should definitely set something up cause I'm trying to get something going :D

Yea me too man. Online can only take you so far and stuff like Next Level is way too far out in Brooklyn for someone who has to go home in the Bronx and go to work early the next day.

I have a just couple of guys I play with offline that are serious about improving. I can't do too much Mon-Thurs outside of practice and play online late evenings until the end of the month. We're gonna be playing Friday after work like 6-7ish and either Sat. or Sun. but not sure which of those days. What days can you get some games in?

How would you feel about heading to Scarsdale to play? Been looking to get Clarksons Corner going again. The venue is spacious, last time was affordable with a $5 venue fee, and is pretty close to both Westchester (where I'm from as well as a few others im looking to start something with) and the City.

Haha damn. I've got the 9-5 schedule but I'm usually busy Mon-Thurs and work late but I get off early on Fridays. I'll send you a message later in the week when we figure out when we're meeting up.

How do you get there? I'll play just about anywhere that I can make it to. If it's a troop it would have to be from Fri-Sun though.

Alright I'm gonna give the owner Steve a call tomorrow likely and see what we can do. I have about 6 people im talking to on SRK and contacted a few here too. Even a small weekly gathering of 5-10 people would be a godsend. Can't hike to the break or next level because of work.

Alright guys. Just talked to Steven. Everything looks pretty good. We have basically any day available to us other than Tuesday and Sunday. Mon, Wends, Thursday we have until roughly 10-11pm he said. Friday and Saturday a bit later. The only other thing with Wends is that there is a smash group that plays bi weekly, so if we did that it would be an every other week ordeal. As far as cost is concerned, as long as we aren't running a tournament, which I don't think we should off the bat, it will cost $6 a head, and that includes a drink and a snack.

I'm thinking Thursday or Friday will be best, I just wanna hear from the rest of you. Once I get back to him with a date, we are good to go and I will solidify our first date. Looking forward to hearing back and mashing with you guys weekly!

I'm down bro. Friday would be ideal I'd say. It's the end of the work week so it's easier to go and play all night. It's easier to plan for as well and bring in new players as it grows. I'm definitely down though man. Good stuff!

Sounds good to me. Friday would probably be better for me, but since I will be done with school next week Thursday still works.

Would this be a casual session or would this actually be a local tournament?
