i did actually read your previous post on the matter and understand how it works fully. Thanks though you have probably helped a lot of people who read this thread to understand the business relationship between WB NRS and HVS. Also you didn't tag me correctly i don't have the number 3 in my name ... i'm number 1 not 13
monox1de.... just one number... number 1... me...
Ah, good stuff and my apologies for tagging you incorrectly!
And yes, I do agree with you that HVS does want to improve their product and that they do seem to care. I'm honestly not surprised they're supporting
Mortal Kombat X better than their last two NRS ports simply because the game came out on launch day with the current gen console versions. The last two games were two years and one year after launch respectively, so WBIE wouldn't want to invest more in extra patching and such since the game, at that point, was mainly "done."
For the console patch and getting the PC version to the same, I always expected that at this point to come with Jason as they're more prioritizing making the base game actually work for everyone first. That makes sense as the bulk of the consumers are casuals and not tournament players.
They're comment about possibly delaying it is something to basically cover themselves. If the update will be dependent on another update that gets delayed, or if in testing they find it breaks the PC version and need longer to fix it, they will. While it's a shame to have to wait, it's better they release it when they're confident it'll work, as opposed to borking the PC version further by rushing.
