Tried using a backup save whilst Steam was offline, in case the Cloud was causing priority interference, but backup still not recognised.

New game it is. Damn those spiders.
Weird seeing Shinnok locked again.

Which is why I didn't support outrage at lack of said animation. I mean, it's cool, but as time passes, it'll only get annoying. I'd say make it an option.

Sad to hear that my grind is wasted. Oh well.

Well, the PC patch just wiped a whole lot of people's game progress. Including mine.
Thanks again to High Voltage and NRS for making all of this happen. I really appreciate it...

It's still downloading for me, and now I'm afraid for my progress. Having to go through the Krypt again is one thing, but the special icons (e.g. faction week winner)? The online skins (Hotshot)? My personal rank of what... 62? No I don't want that to be gone.

They're going to fix this right? I've copied the savegame folder so I know I'll have it. I mean, they can't just expect people to restart after more than two weeks right?

I read that I have to unlocked emperor liu kang by beating 10 Tower Challenges, how can I unlocked it if the challenges list is empty?

For Emperor Liu Kang, all you need to do is go to 1-Player in the main menu, and select Tower Challenge, or Challenge Tower, whatever it is, and do 10(?) of those without the need to send them to anybody (just pick new tower when you've finished).

Also I just tried to play on Sky Temple and it's still pretty much unplayable even on the lowest settings. No improvement.

Hey all,

Can anyone tell me how to back up my original saves (I have not patched yet), and if the game plays in offline mode? I'd prefer to not download this patch at the moment until the problems are fixed.

Also, does the game work in offline mode, or must you be connected?

They just posted they're removing the patch. So what now? This sucks, cause these huge downloads take several hours for me. It wouldn't be nearly as bad if we could just play the game in the meantime.

HVS i hope that this is LAST game you are working on! I am NEVER EVER buying a PC game that you, incapable, dumb ppl "ported" to PC! NEVER!
I love MKX but all this crap since day 1 killed all the excitement i had for this game!

i hate reading shit like this. go post it on the steam community for mkx instead of here please. We are all pissed.

Patch currently being replaced with old patch whilst they work on Save Game issue.
(I know some know this already from elsewhere on site, just posting for clarification)

This might be a noob question but I got like 15.3 gb downloaded of the first patch how do I delete that version so I get the new one?

edit: Never mind figured it out.

I stuck it on the desktop, though to be fair I've never had to use it as I never previously lost a save, but I believe anywhere is fine.

Odd thing is: I've stopped downloading the first 15GB the second it was clear that it gets rid of save data (although stored back up somewhere). After restarting Steam however I haven't received another 15GB patch which supposedly is some kind of roll back. Now I'm a bit panicked and afraid to run the game. I'm too young for shrink visits. :eek:

It still deletes your old data...but now that i am reverted to the old patch i can put in my back ups and they work. If you don't have backups you're probably fucked.

as @Monox1de said, can confirm backup saves also worked for me once OLD patch is implemented, but if you haven't backed up, then its probably gone :(
Don't forget to choose "local data" over "cloud data" if Steam asks you in a pop-up.
