bad idea, you dont recover in time. i tried many times, got rushed at instantly - forced to block - it just expires while i block incoming mess

anyone with half brain will just poke you right after wakeup since you cant do anything thanks to animation lock.
Why not do it after TS it's a hard knockdown and send them full screen

are you kidding me ? kitana is for sure a top tier. Fans recover is very fast on the ground even in assassin variation. This girl is fking hard to punish, her aoe fans just touche the guy even behind kitana, dat fat is very safe on block and safe on whife. Can D1 on block and then anti air fan and if someone try to punish her D1 on block he just take full combo and all kitana's combos do a lot of damage even from full screen. Many of my fiends play her and it's the most op character that i fight till today. So only a think she needs it's a nerf
That is possibly the most retarded post i have seen in a while. Kitanna needs nerfs ?? no way hahahahahahahahahha
 
So Jason releases tonight with a mid projectile that is fast and what I'm noticing is that people can get around it... hmmmm... no reason Kitana can't have the same. Especially since she can't force off the ground.

Yea I think we should all chill with the whole complaining/asking for buffs thing. I'm pretty sure everyone gets the point now (hopefully lol). Let's just wait and see what the updates bring.

I love that nearly every Kitana player has either dropped her or are in the process of picking up alts to deal with the more viable characters in the game. Meanwhile, people are STILL delusional enough to come into our character forums and tell US, the people who have been grinding her for weeks, that we just, "haven't been working hard enough and need to give her more time."

Like jesus fucking christ. Why does it pain this community so much to be realistic.

I think the primary reason due to this is because certain unnamed top players have said "she's fine" hence everyone takes their word as the holy grail and if you have a different opinion, then you're bitching.

Well of course the top gentleman at The Break and Atlanta Kombat thinks shes fine. They jump around like kangaroos and they never punish their local Kitanas. They are living in their own UNPUNISHED meta.

honestly, kitana would be more viable if this game wasn't so driven on input delay. Who can honestly say that they feel ok punishing people with 111. nobody? lmao ok. I shouldn't feel like I'm playing russian roulette everytime I'm in a situation to punish. Tekken was known for it's input delay system and I think NRS tried to bite off of that because the netcode is so shitty.

I'm still sticking with her cuz I started with her but I'm also learning Jason now. He has like all the tools we have been wishing for and they are done in such a way that it balances out. As big as he is he has multiple overheads but only a few that allow combos and only a slight bit of damage at that and that move is 18 frames in start up and has fucking range. I really think I should seriously make a Kitana disadvantages video and send it to NRS

I dont think that has to do with input delay. As for punishes naturally you're gonna go for 111 as its her fastest string.
 
btw can we also talk about how useless sharpen is?
being time based its quite worthless. takes too long to cast, fades out way too fast
only time i use sharpen is when i get in a F22, you can string the sharpen into it and apply it as opponent is knocked down, you can then try for a AS or F112 DF1 FJK2xxDF1 into whatever you like to end that combo with, i like to mix it up a lot so opponent doesn't get a read on me.

i prefer getting in an Assassin Strike (DB3) when sharpen is on though, it's really satisfying :)

Sharpened Assassin Strike does the same damage as EX Assassin Strike. They both do 19%. That's what I love about it. =D Just sucks if you use Sharpen and then EX Assassin strike that nothing changes.

wrong, EX AS does 19%, Sharpened AS does 23%, just tested it.

you basically get a free meter ability with more damage to it. F22 DF4 is the only combo i've managed to find a decent spot for sharpen though, animation finishes right as your opponent gets up.

Be careful with this. It's not safe to sharpen after F22. There may be a lot of wake ups that take too long to punish her, but there certainly are ones that are fast enough to. SZ slide will hit before you can finish sharpening. I would bet Kung Lao could also wake up spin and bop you. Your opponents may not be catching on yet, but one day they might...

I still play her for certain matchups, she's not bad by any means. She is boring in this game to me compared to mk9, which is why I switched to Cassie as my main.
