I tried keeping my hopes up for DLC. But then I thought about the odds.He's not a fightable NPC, he has an Assist in Kustom Kombat, and he's in a Faction Kill...all those things don't bode well for his future inclusion and it makes me sad.

Lol that's the joke... I'm okay with the roster - I feel like some characters are only playable because they have a fanbase that's been so massive since the originals ie Kitana, Johnny, Sonya. But also some other characters like Ferra/Torr - they had a cool concept but they did nothing to the story. But the story isn't what I ultimately play the game for, I just see the characters as sets of tools - I don't care if they're related or not.

The thing is that you can mount hitboxes and tools on any piece of artwork and background, so some people will still question choices of that background.
