We also got MK9 meter system on top of possibly more ways to meaningfully spend it, so breakers will be scarce. Also keep in mind that when you have 3 general ways of spending meter and one of them is so much better at affecting health swings than others while contributing next to nothing to gameplay diversity and toolset, that's pretty shitty design. And high damaging combos only encourage that with this system.We got combo breakers, no reason for bnbs to not reach 40-60%!
That said, self-buff heavy character will probably be capable of good damage.
Early builds also featured sick damage of Kotal's AA grab, Sub's combos that end in restanding throw (CM Sub) and some others too probably.
I'd prefer them as legitimate tools, not just damage boost. But it doesn't look like it's happening with some characters we've seen so far.One complaint I have with the scaling ever since MK9 started getting patched was the scaling on X-Ray moves. They should easily be doing 50%+ in combos because you're spending all of your meter to do it.
