@Qwark28 does Sub have any way to end a combo in a standing reset in his grandmaster variation? for example:

combo into ice ball, filler, single move or string into standing reset, either jump in or dash forward, string into clone after the reset?

Ok, does he at least have something similar to mk9 where he can finish a grounded combo, dash or jump in and set up a clone after a string?
Without playing the game, I can tell you the only way it wouldn't be possible is if ice ball automatically put opponent in an airborne state. If he will be plus enough after any given strong to dash or jump for free? Maybe, but just remember this is a new game. While sub zero plays as the same character, he may not have set ups from older games.

I feel this thread should be renamed and moved to general mkx. It was a sub zero thread for a bit but this is more like a full roster thread really. People who dont know how to use "new posts" will miss it. Then again it has 30+ pages so no ones missing it...jus sayin.

I'm aware that it may not be in this game, but there is also a chance that it could be or me asking may lead to someone finding it. That's why i'm asking.

@Qwark28 is the ending string in this combo specific to cryomancer? and what does it leave you at frame wise? thank you!

It was mentioned earlier in the thread, but people tend to just ignore it. IMO its pretty unfair because i came here to talk about SubZero and if i wanted to talk about any other characters i would've found a thread with their name in the title. Though its too late now :/

If the opponent is being juggled, can they just mash a throw tech guess and automatically make it 50% that your MB throw connects? That's how I'm picturing it.

What is the actual name of Reptile's Nimble trait?
What are the startup frames and duration of the effect?
Can reptile buffer the activation of Nimble after a special (like ex dash) or a string?
Is it still a three second recharge between uses?
Find any string, dash, NJP combos or is there too much recovery on dash now for that to function as in MK9?
just wanted to throw this out there for people to think about and share their thoughts on, do you think it may be possible that the Blue Steel SubZero skin will have an affect on SubZero's moves (in general), being that the model was designed an based on scorpion? let me remind anyone scorpion is different in height comparison and i cant say by how much exactly. Ex. Possible it may change SubZero's hit box during a d4?????
In D'Vorah's Brood Mother variation, is her Krawler special a low?

Not in Gmaster. Cryomancer has F42 1+3 which leaves the opponent within D4 distance at 0 frames.

The problem with Gmaster's F42 ender is that you must finish the combo with slide since 1+3 is instead a side switching throw.

@Qwark28 What is the cancel advantage of an ice clone after one of his best block strings? Can you follow up with pressure right after? Like ex. Block string xx clone then pressure xx detonate clone for plus frames?

Seriously, though, I'm quite curious about how safe his ground blasts are, as well as his skeleton flicks and crazy skeleton arm sheeva pound. You the man!

That would make him ridiculously overpowered considering how strong he already appears.

Low starter is B33 which can be hitconfirmed into EX iceball/hammer
Overhead starter is B2 which can be hitconfirmed into slide midscreen and a combo in the corner, with cryomancer specifically reaching 40% with a bar damage while other variations get around 20 meterless, 25 with bar.

What about him would you say makes him seem so strong over other characters?

Also, what is the range on his S1 like? And is it a high?
Clone is an amazing improvement over MK9, his footsie game is amazing, the new features of the clone make poking him extremely dangerous, even when he's -, parry is amazing, ex parry is even better, ex iceball is super good, etc.

He's an extremely solid character at worst.

It's decent and high, 11 whiffs on some punishes so you need to do S1 ex iceball though.

I have a few basic input questions.

Do half circle motions still replace back forward motions in alternate controls?

How many core buttons does the game have? It's funny I haven't seen that info anywhere but I haven't watched many streams.
