Fun reminder: Most games and all of the largest ones ESL runs are PC native or use the PC versions of games - also not region locked, obviously.

Microsoft definitely has their hands in this, however quietly. This is a power play against Sony and Street Fighter 5. So think about that - they believe competitive MK is a big enough draw to strike a blow against Street Fighter.

This is awesome! We definitely should all support this as much as we can, this is exactly what MK needs. It would be kool if this was open to players on all platforms, Xbone, PS4 and PC.

We're having a great start to the life of MKX with the Shang Tsung tournament at GGA and now ESL!

Edit: and I will get that Blue Steel Subby skin for sure to support the players and tourny, not just cause I'm a huge Sub-Zero fan

You have an online event pulling in new players into the scene for you on one console for them to show up offline and the event to be ran on a different console.

Two separate entities. Evo may be running MKX on PS4 because of Sony sponsorship and it's Mr Wizards decision, while ESL is doing it because of MS money and ESl's decision. I mean people are acting like there won't be online events for PS4/PC users down the road. Playstation also has the stick compatibility which would help offline players. ESL doesn't have all the weight.
