So.. There are MK classic characters, fan favorites, and franchise staples that aren't in this game... (yet), and we're getting horror movie guest characters that have nothing to do with MK at all.. wtf is next? Chuck Norris playable?

Jesus... How the hell is it a good idea to NOT have cyrax, sektor (considering the faction status of lin kuei), cyber smoke (or regular), Rain, Kabal, ShangTsung, Liu Kang, or even freaking Baraka before this shit?

NRS could make a completely separate "horror fighters" game instead.. Aside from what my prefrence is for the roster, people in the FGC laughed their asses off at MK when Freddy was put in the game... and they should have.. That was fucking retarded.. This is just as bad if not worse.

Its almost like people don't understand NRS needs to make $... And so far every game the guest characters make the most and sell almost double... They have said this a lot...
So if you don't like who it is think of it as the fact this character exists and sells well will give them more $ to add to a game and franchises you do like...

They make far more than enough money off the actual sale of the game, they are just rubbing it in our faces with this "pay an extra game for 4 or 6 characters we already had before the game was released" shit.

Jason will be better recieved than Freddy. I love fred, but hes always been kind of cornball and cheesy, thats his niche in the horror movies. Jason is more of a pure badass. Hes an international icon beloved the world over. He doesnt spit one liners or have over the top gimmicks. Hes just a silent killing machine and reminds us all of our childhoods. Plus he looks dope as fizzuck, what more can you ask for?

I just realized the price as well lol. I think that's my biggest gripe, but oh well. I don't need it and eventually DLC characters can be purchased individually. The only way I'll cave on the Kombat pack is if Smoke/Cyber Smoke is in and looks amazing.

Well, it's more that he's in the game in lieu of others. I guess it's kinda good to have a character in the game that you absolutely F'ing hate though.. I always got more satisfaction out of stomping Kenshi and KL players in MK9 than others.

I guess that witll be Jason in MKX.
