My dream guest character for MKX: Riddick!

Totally agree and id even be surprised if we dont see a DC villain.

Unless somethings changed with DC management, I doubt it. In MK vs DC they toned shit WAY down when it came to fatalities, and they still wound up having to censor some of them(off screen gunshots instead of showing them, even though they were tame as hell).

Having any DC villain get their face sliced off is probably not something DC is willing to sign off on, especially when MKX is looking to be the most visually violent MK yet. It might make some sense thematically, as some of those characters have been involved in some really dark shit, but it doesn't matter if the marketing and legal team tell management that it wouldn't look good for the image/brand or some such thing.

Yea I feel you, I was just thinking if it were to happen it would be a villain. But thinking about it your prob right, MKX might push DC just a step too far of how far they are willing to push even their villains. Thats what makes Jason such a good choice, you cant kill that motherfocker!

Damn, I never thought about this. Riddick would indeed be really cool and fit fucking perfectly! Really like the character and especially his knives (and shiny eyes). Riddick and Predator would be too epic to happen but it would make my panties drop in an instant for sure. But yeah I think he's not mainstream enough, sadly. It's probably going to be like.. The Terminator, Jason or Predator. My money is on two of these three.

Ever since I saw the character silhouette with what appears to be a Fedora, I've suspected that he will be a guest character. He could easily have a variation basee on counters, as he tends to often do while breaking bones, but I'm at a loss as far as the rest of the design.

NRS relationship with DC comics is what gave me the idea in the first place, even before seeing the silhouette.

Yeah this is pretty much exactly what I was thinking. There is no way DC would be ok with even their darkest villians getting MK mutilated lol. Having said that, I feel like characters like Rorschach, V, etc. actually have a shot because, while they are owned by DC, they exist outside of the DC universe. Or maybe thats just me hoping characters like that actually make it, becuase Eff jason.. lol

Personally I would be really hyped if Riddick made it into Mortal Kombat X as a guest character! I have liked the character since seeing Pitch Black in the theaters and I think that his personality fits in well into the MK Universe.

The only other character that I could be as hyped for as a guest character in Mortal Kombat X is Ash aka Bruce Campbell from the Evil Dead and Army of Darkness films. The only liners alone would be worth having Ash in the game for me,Ha!

I would throw in my personal ultimate favorite character that I want to see be in any fighting game a Xenomorph. However I think that a creature like that might be more suited for a game like Killer Instinct rather than Mortal Kombat.

Yes! You just get me my friend lol. There are a lot of great choices, but riddick just seems too perfect for mkx. Dude, nrs would make an awesome arcade ladder story for him! Unfortunately though, I really don't think he's gonna make it in. The best thing riddick has going for him is that he's played by Vin diesel, who has great mass appeal.. But even then I see it being doubtful.

I really really don't want Jason though.. I would love something non horror related lol

Ash, predator, riddick, and big boss are great choices IMO because they would be so perfectly translated into a fighter and still be distinctly unique from the Mk cast. Even the xenomorph would fit in too, face hugger projectiles? I'm in! Lol

I used to think Jason was the only logical choice seeing as how he was allegedly slated for a DLC spot alongside Freddy in MK 9, but seeing as how he isn't owned by WB anymore, I honestly don't know who would fit the bill.

Firstly I never said I was excited, the only guest character I would be excited by is Cervantes, as Soul Calibur was my first introduction to fighting games and he's my favourite character.
But, if you're saying you don't get why other people are excited, again, that's ridiculous. People like more than one thing. I love MK, but I also love the film Ip man, so yeah if they put Ip man in MKX that's be awesome and I'd be excited by it.
We KNOW there will be guest characters and it's understandable why NRS does it. They sell the most, and it attracts people who aren't already fans of the franchise. If it helps your favourite franchise grow and become a bigger game, you should be happy with it too.
It's not as if they haven't said they are making any guest characters this time and people are demanding them in place of MK characters, we've been told they are happening and people are expressing who they would like them to be.

So you want us to be angry/mad about something that's inevitably happening. Like Sneaky said, you can like more than just one thing. I absolutely LOVE MK, and yes I would prefer MK characters over guest characters for DLC, but that doesn't mean I can't make the best of the situation and think about characters that would fit in MK and be cool to play as. Don't be so negative.
