On the subject of balance: the truth is that people really need to make peace with it because MKX is not at all likely to be any better. Consider: Capcom does tons of internal testing, has a huge arcade scene to do public beta testing on, releases annual updates.....and yet they've *still* managed to release games with S+ tiers and 7-3 matchups (or worse).
Given that fact is it really reasonable to expect that NRS of all people is actually going to release a product with a few weeks of game balancing and 6 months max of post launch support and have it be a perfectly balanced game design? Your fooling yourself if you think that's realistic.
The funny thing is that people who have been here since MK9 really should know better by now. I went back and rewatched/listened/read about MK9s competitive history and its amusing how closely it mirrors Injustice's competitive life.
Just like Injustice, there was a period of time in MK9 when character diversity in top 8 was all over the place and people honestly thought it was one of the most balanced fighters of its generation. People kept leveling up and eventually it was decided that it was a counterpick game. Then, eventually, inevitably, top players gravitated to the top tiers, discovered/perfected their dominated tools, and everyone realized the balance was a wash.
Mark my words: it
will happen with MKX.
TLDR; this will *ALWAYS* be a world of top tiers. Accept that....and either keep supporting the game or move on and find a more "fair" hobby.
And also out places us with green arrow while not practicing or bitching about aquaman
Lets be fair: I've definitely heard him bitch about Aquaman before.....and prepatch Adam and Supes.
