Lol, so most people are majorly exaggerating here.
1) Injustice isn't dead. People are still enjoying the tournaments at majors, lots of people are planning to make KiT, etc. There's also been a lot of fun online play lately with RHSundays, etc.
2) This is the natural game cycle on the forums. When a game is first released, there's a huge buildup. At release, tons of discoveries, tech, videos, broken stuff, balance discussion, tier discussion, etc. As time goes on, a lot of tech is found, the balance is more or less sorted out, people play a ton of tournaments.. Eventually people are mostly just playing and there's less to talk about.
For MK9 this was prolonged a bit since we had a full year of MLG and then EVO (which is about the best life-support you can possibly get), but eventually it was the same -- you get occasional tech, a combo video here and there, and sporadic threads about a patch. People get a bit bored and start to talk about random topics.
But keep calm -- it's ok Everything will cycle around again. Then when MKX releases, we'll have people yelling at the new posters, complaining that there are too many rubbish threads being made, and getting to know all of our new members. Such is the Circle of Life.
