I'll start:

The Pinball Arcade -- I don't know how many of you are pinball fans, or are even interested in pinball, but this game has some of the most faithful recreations of one of the best selections of real-life pinball tables I've ever seen. From The Twilight Zone to Ripley's Believe it or Not, Monster Bash, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Theatre of Magic etc. It's an amazing game with really dedicated developers, and it's available on X360, PS3, PS4, PC, iPhone, Android, and even more platforms.

Outland -- One of the best platformers I've ever played. It was an indie release and didn't get that much hype depite winning several awards, but man; superb controls, really engaging puzzles, amazing art direction and sense of color, and a true challenge. It's everything I could want in a platformer and more.

If you haven't checked it out, and you like platformers or action puzzle games, I'd strongly suggest giving it a look.

Trine 2 -- This series has a special place in my heart. I've only come across 1 other friend that's mentioned the game, but besides being visually one of the best-looking 2d-perspective games I've played, it's also one of the most fun environmental-manipulation puzzle games I've come across. The whole thing was just a joy to play and I'd highly recommend it to anyone that hasn't checked it out.

So how about you guys? Anything you think most people haven't checked out, but probably should?

A prop on the stage of life.
War of the Monsters - fun ps2 brawler game with destructible environments. Only heard of it by way of demo disc and loved it dearly. So fun throwing another monster through a building/into a volcano/into a nuclear power plant. :)

Valkyria Chronicles - Sega delivers in the tbs genre once again. I would almost say its an update to shining force, but the dynamics of the game are just too different. Still, a fun tbs game that I am very salty about not having a proper sequel..or at least something like it.

-will update if I can think of any more.

Another awesome game, this was for both the PS2 and XBOX: Wrath Unleashed!

It was a chess type of game. It was like MK Chess, when you attacked a piece, you fought like a fighting game. Both the strategy and fighting were fun and addicting.

Jade Cocoon 2 for the PS2. It's a turn based RPG that's similar to Pokemon and FF but with more strategy. I've played this game so much it's unbelievable.

They made a second one???

I only ever had the demo of the first game for PS1.

Future Cop: LAPD - Playstation 1

Back when EA were called "Electronic Arts", and they made games rather than publishing them, they released this game on the PS1. You play as a vehicle that changes between cop car and death walker whenever you want.

You basically just shoot the shit out of criminals, but it's ridiculously fun. Mustard and I used to play the co op on this all the time as kids. It's dirt cheap on the PSN I believe.

Resident Evil - Gamecube

Any horror fan needs to play this game if they haven't already. Back when the Gamecube was the main Nintendo system, Capcom remade the original Resident Evil on the Gamecube exclusively. It used the same techniques as the original, using pre rendered backgrounds that only reacted to lighting and had fixed camera angles rather than the freedom to completely look around.

The game is REALLY scary, easily the most terrifying game I've ever played. It put yourself in a dark room and play it for the very first time, you'll find the game has tons more atmosphere than any Amnesia or Penumbra.

The Zombies were awful to fight too, They would never stop walking towards you and didn't recoil from your bullets at all. The game encouraged you to run away rather than stay and fight them.

Turok Rage Wars - N64

This game is actually Mustard and I's all time favorite multiplayer shooter. It's a multiplayer only Turok game with 4 game modes. Tns of weapons and all the characters/enemies from Turok 1 and 2 are playable with a number of different skins to boot.

The weapons were pretty insane, you could do all kinds of stuff to people, there was even a weapon that makes people pop because you inflated them to death.

Long story short, if you have an N64, give it a go!

Bump for Jade Cocoon 2. I'm doing my yearly revisit to this game, so had to mention it again somewhere on TYM.

Too Human.

Probably THE best Action RPG of the last gen if not ever. just too short.

sadly this guy only plays commando, melee classes are more fun to watch.

Death is my business

The original Demon / Dark souls but first person. Give it a try if you're a fan of the game / game lore

Oh Boy , this is the FUN stuff , action hunting monster game , some rpg elements and lots of armor & weapons to craft , each with their unique moveset and skills , no level up system and hunts can take quite long when you first run through the game ( im talking 20 to 40 minutes hunts for a medium sized monster ) , shines when playing with 3 friends , this is addicting and fun , try out the most recent ones like MH Tri Ultimate / MH4 for a great new exp even tho all MH are fun ( if you have a psp absolutely try MH Unite / Portable 3rd ).

Just a quick fun vid about MH 4

Shadow of Destiny (ps2) You get to solve your own murder. What's not to love? Not to mention it was made in conjunction with the German tourism board for very accurate visuals.

I want Kronika to step on my face
Action:
Expendable: FUCKING AMAZING GAME AND DIFFICULT AS FUCK, which is how I like my games.

Indie:
FEZ: About THE single most brilliant game I have ever played. EVAR. Every single detail in this game is amazing and the puzzles are mindblowing and overall just soul-gasmic.

World of Goo: You'll get one of the most satisfying gameplay experiences of your life. Unique, brilliant, and amazing. The soundtrack is also absolutely astounding. You'll add few tracks to your top 50 music tracks of all time. (The review sentence you'll find in the picture below isn't a joke AT ALL!)
