I'm pretty sure all of you have experienced this but the thing that gets me the saltiest is when we are on the character select screen and the dude just about hovers over EVERY SINGLE person taking his damn sweet time like he is going to actually pick someone and then when he's finally gone all the way around the world he just picks Scorpion.

Yeah, I feel the same way. I can actually deal with Kung Lao; Reptile can at least punish his spin. With the 3 characters I'm decent with - Reptile, Ermac and Sub Zero they just get massively bodied by Kitana. Fans shut Reptile down completely, and in the event that he gets in close, she'll just fly away in which she has a invincible start up and continue to spam fans. If I elbow dash up to her and attempt a cross up, she'll just lift me, and fuck my shit up. Ermac cannot recover from pressure, nor can he trade with her projectiles, so he's pretty fucked there as well. Sub Zero doesn't fair any better, clones are utterly useless in that matchup and even in the event that I can land an EX freeze she'll likely be full screen so all I can land is a slide on her.

Reptile and Ermac both blow up Kitana zoning. If you acid spit her out of an IAF she's knocked down and you can begin the forceballs. Once she's fallen behind and you've got forceballs on screen she'll never be able to catch up again. Ermac has force push. She cannot possibly zone with that move. Her only choice is get in.


At East Coast Throwdown I was fighting Reo in my second match and some dude stepped in front of the screen and distracted me. I yelled at him to move and he just stood there like it was no big deal. So I'm always salty when I lose in a tournament, I was sent to losers in match 2, I just got bodied by Reo and this guy won't even apologize. Damn I was SALTY. Luckily 9.95 was there running a SF4 pool and interfered as a voice of reason lol.

Losing to bad players who do random off the wall crap is pretty rage inducing. Fatalities/babalaties always piss me off. Losing to players who cannot even do a 20% combo piss me off. Raiden online pisses me off, massively. Kitana and my inability to beat good Kitana players pisses me off. Oh, and online in general, pisses me off.

So, in essence, most of this game just pisses me off...all the time. I'm pretty sure it's terrible for my health, but I continue to play it.

She eludes me, I cannot find out where she has any inherent weakness, at least with these specific characters. I guess I can play Lameo against her and just spam spam spam. Never had an issue against her with him in the past, I just hate reducing myself to such a simple character.

If you landed the ice beam while she's in the air then you'll get a slide probably but on the ground even from full screen you should have time to punish with a full combo. The freeze time for ice beam is ridiculous. I've fought against subs as cyrax and traded a net with ice beam and they still have time to get in from full screen and get a combo.

That was a thousand dollar mistake I'll never make again. It wasn't because of MK but SvR. I tossed my tv remote in the general direction of the tv and cracked the screen! It didn't even look like I threw it that hard!

My most recent rageout was after it took me four and a half hours to beat Shao Khan in Story Mode for the second time...

happens alot with downed opponents when you are rushing them down, you appear behind them and they get advantage. So stupid.

I got pretty salty playing a good Reptile tonight. I generally don't have many issues with Reptiles online, even with Cage, but I got handled. He used THE SHIT out of the elbow dash but I was only able to block and punish twice. For the most part he knew exactly when I'd let off block. Shutdown my rush game pretty hard. I only stuck around for four matches. After that I had to take a recess and do something productive.

It really pisses me off when someone thinks they can beat me with the stupidest scrub techniques in the game. I've played retards who Sheeva stomped, Sindel fireball spam, constant ninja teleports. You might be thinking that shit is easy to beat, is a free win and shouldnt piss me off so much ? Wrong! It's very easy to beat and thats the reason that makes me angry. It's almost a slap in the face, this retard thinking he's going to win like that. As someone who knows a lot of the cast, seeing a character being played at such a scrub level with all that potential being lost makes me rage. And it really hinders whatever you learned about the matchup. You expect this braindead retard to at least mix it up after the millionth time in a row you've blocked and punished their stupid spam tactic, but no they dont quit. They continue until I utterly stomp the floor with them AND then proceed to ask for a rematch, pick another character and do the exact same bullshit. WOULD IT KILL YOU TO SPEND 5 MINUTES TO LEARN YOUR FUCKING CHARACTER BEFORE PLAYING ONLINE FUCKING SCRUBS.

Another thing that pisses me off is when your character needs to work so much harder to win against an opponent that is using a character that basically can cheese a win with a few tricks (Kung Lao, Raiden)

I get salty only when I can CLEARLY PREDICT what the opponent will do next, do the move that counters it, but then... it doesn't come out and I lose because of it. That makes me rage so fuckin much that I start slammin my SF stick I use to play MK with violently. In fact, my mom thinks I might get anger issues as a result of this game (and SSF4's mashed uppercuts.)

I only get salty when I input commands and the command I inputted doesnt come out. Like ill go for a reptile dash and he just punches the air stupidly. Or when its impossible to react or do anything about constant jump ins because of the input lag. Or when im playing scorpion and i go for his F2,1 teleport to safe jump and it doesnt see that i pressed forward and it does fucking 2,1 teleport which doesnt link and i get blocked in punished. I cant help but yell out "I WAS FUCKING HOLDING FORWARD DAMNIT!!!!" Yeah....I get pretty salty online. Never offline though. I have no problems there

Also, I occasionally get salty at myself when I use Mileena cuz shes so damn cheap. I just mutter to myself "Jesus christ this character is so cheap" as I do B3~Enhanced Roll for the quick low to overhead into 30% ish and then just teleport to get advantage enough to do the same shit again.....god that character is so cheap...

Also, I hate the inconsistency of the invincibility frames on wakeup attacks. Sometimes I get smacked right out of a raiden wake up superman or a subzero wake up slide like its nothing. But dont worry, it only happens when the ENTIRE match depends on it....ugh i need to lower my sodium levels...

I've never had problems with EXPERT MODE. Today, I spent 30-45 minutes trying to beat Raiden on EXPERT (he was the 3rd person). I changed characters up, Ermac, Reptile, Liu Kang, Raiden, Sub Zero. I couldnt do it for the life of me. I think I was getting madder and madder, and that contributed to the many mistakes I did. I ususally breeze through EXPERT until GORO/KINTARO and SHAO KANH.

Oh and I hate wakeup attacks. Mileena's wakeup roll I keep messing up the inputs or something.

It's frustrating because they don't even know what they are doing. To me this is one of the things that pisses me off the most in MK; losing to people who don't know what they are doing.

I, myself, must shamefully admit that I had to order a new fight stick because of an abundance of salt. But that´s mainly because moves didn´t come out when I believe they should've or when wake-up attacks get stuffed or don't come out and I get raped to the point where 50% of my life is gone because of it. THAT pisses me off to no end.

When I play a lot better than my opponent but still manage to lose because of scrubby lag tactics. Just dumb stuff that would never work on me offline. That really frustrates me.

When I lose a match because of my supposedly armored EN special got stuffed by a stupid normal.

When I KNOW what my opponent is going to do next, make a great read and try to do a great punish, but drop my combo because of lag + input delay + negative edge + my stupid xbox pad that's over sensitive.

When I fight Kabal. He makes me want to break the CD and play Street Fighter instead.

Any time I lose online. Not because opponent is better than me, but because of how shit this game plays online (unable to punish, dropped inputs etc).

Very frustrating.

Some Kanos before I picked him up myself. Not even because of upball or knives, but that retarded X-Ray of his... In hindsight, if you get caught by it, you deserve to eat 41%.

I occasionally turn into a salt pillar when a friend of mine (psn: Misiokus). He mains CSZ and we're about equal in terms of skill, but I can get so angry over essentialy nothing when I repeatedly get caught by those stupid divekicks, as does he when he gets Kanokicked in the face.

What annoys me the most though, is when I face a Freddy and the projectile glitch kicks in. Being a Kabal player mainly, I tend to use a lot of oki saw blades. It's HELLA stupid when they miss and mess up my game, resulting in a loss. I usually refuse rematches against people who play Freddy, and will do so until they fix him.

One time I got so salty I yelled a profanity and switched off the game.

And then this other time I GOT SOOO SALTY because this f@#ker I played lost, he was kratos I was ermac. and then I do ermacs B34 when it says FINISH HIM because it sends your opponent flying after a weak looking kick delivered by mac. And he sends me a message saying "LOL FATALITY FAIL BRO" I cussed him out. Stupid f4@k.

I also get salty as hell when I question my skill because of online lag.

Oh and the last thing I get salty over is the fact that no one challenges me because Im 3000-1400. I really wish I could just reset the damn thing if its such a big deal to everyone.

I have a pretty outstanding record, but I like to try new characters a lot online, and nothing makes me more salty than some kid beating me while I'm using someone I just started learning, quitting after that one match then start bragging and calling me overrated in the chat rooms. That alone just makes me want to change my gamertag to Mr. Salty.
