Cassie Cage? I have a feeling Ed Boon is a huge fan of Star Wars Episode:1-3.

one character that doesn't take to your liking shouldn't gt you so down, look at all the other fucking amazing characters!
HYPE, I kinda like cassie cage too because it means instead of having 2 annoying characters they stuck them into one. good stuff cutting out bad characters and putting it into one, that'll save some roster space for Tremor not to come back ever again ;)

I'm still excited to play the game, but I would be a liar if I said I was happy with the major changes that have already been confirmed.

really you are? I'm liking it, it's just like he said it's not just MK9 with a retexture of graphics.

I like all these new features, not quite sure how I like running but is that even confirmed yet?
Anyway what's not getting you all giddy?

I get what you're hinting at, and I've been with Boon and Midway since the early 90s. I don't want it to be like MK9, I want it to be a sequel to MK9. I'm from the group of people that played the entire series, but hated everything between UMK3 and MK9. Just because Ed reimagines MK every couple years doesn't mean some of his ideas don't stink. As of right now, the biggest turn off for me is interactables. MK fans have made it clear since Injustice was being teased that interactables weren't going to fly with a big chunk of the community, yet so many people are getting pissed that the entire forum isn't getting hype for Mortal Kombat: Demi-Gods Among Us. Will it be a hype game, I'm sure, will it be the continued homage to arguably the best game in the series (UMK3), probably not.

I know that feeling i wasn't interested in alot of them between them anyway however I didn't play through all of them.
I dunno i'm on the other end I don't see the beef with interactables, i love the idea personally now it sounds like he's fixed their biggest flaws and they're balanced, now it's about adding a new level of skill to be aware of what your surroundings are and how you can use them to put you at an advantage, in Injustice any moron could throw high damage projectiles but i get the feeling in MKX you'll have to use it wisely otherwise it'll be a wasted opportunity.

I think it can be done correctly, but it will still drastically change how the game is played beyond sweep distance. MK is fundamentally a more "unsafe" game that Inj, so I would expect interactable use to be very highly punishable, especially considering all the teleports MK usually has, but I don't know. 2d games with interactables seem to get a little gimmicky, blockable or not. The entire cast's frame data now not only has to be balanced for footsies, but also balanced for stage choice. Maybe I'm still stuck in an old mentality where stage choice shouldn't effect the matchup at all, but maybe I have to grow out of that. I play Injustice casually, and it bugs me that the 50/50 for stage select can often be the biggest contributing factor towards a win. I guess my best example would be Batgirl on fortress of solitude. The stage itself opens up the damage on her corner game that it almost feels like you're playing Cyrax again.
