If I thought for a second that the current images weren't place holders, I'd say bottom left is a chick.

Assuming we haven't seen all the new characters yet, I'd say it's a safe bet that at least 15 characters from MK9 are out. There is no way in hell you can do that without removing classic characters and pissing people off. Ballsy move by NRS... My list of characters I'd be ok with not having is now three. Freddy, Stryker, Kratos... If there really is that big of a gap in the cast though, yeah... might as well not even call it MK.

There is going to be a sXXt load of "You kept in X but not Y??!??!"

If the top of his hood isn't pointy from a front view then it fits in that silhouette well.

Am I the only one who finds the character select screen lifeless, boring and too futuristic?
Red and orange has always been the a staple in this series, this select screen doesn't remind me of MK at all. It's not bad, it just doesnt look like MK.

The games tone is supposed to be much darker this time around, so I think it fits for the most part.

Maybe they should do a few more passes on it though, it looks a little rough.
