Mortal Kombat X Gameplay trailer from E3

Looks like the combo's and everything flow much smoother than MK9, can't wait to see what they release tomorrow. Definitely stepped up their x-rays, new characters, interactables (which I personally aprove of), and FATALATIES... Seem's Ed Boon has been studying up on some fighting games :tonyt

Glad they improved dashing from Inj. Graphics are sick. Block button is back, which is awesome. Lots of new specials. Looking good so far. Can't wait till tomorrow.

I love all about MK X!! The new characters are AMAZING, dont know why people complains about them, some people need to accept changes for the better, the franchise feels the same, more brutal than ever. The bee lady and giant guy are cool, and interactables seems to work better than in Injustice. Fatalities are awesome! All in all, i prefer the series evolving than doing the same again and again, and thinking of it, every MK changed something, so i trust NRS. What i hated until now about E3 was the KI anounncement, new TJ combo seems a carbon copy of Balrog of SF :( Used to be better

It looks awesome, i love the darker atmosphere and the much more gory fatalities. We can't really tell how the movement is going to be, I'm sure they were just moving slow to show off all the features. I'm gonna assume that zoning won't be like how it was in MK9 with the possible run button and the interactables, combine that with teleports and i think the game will probably be played up close a lot. Then again we haven't seen all the characters yet.

I'm happy that you can block interactables now. There also doesn't look like there will be any otg interactables, I don't see how they would work in mk. Reoccuring interactables might return, cuz that big guy threw the thing that came out of the water, that could be something that pops up every now and then. I like that they are highlighted too, makes getting to know which things are interactables much easier.

And just for the sake of information, here's a list of stuff that I compiled from watching the gameplay:
Confirmed characters: Scorpion, Sub-Zero, bug lady character, big/little characters, aztek god character (don't know their names)
- Interactables (can be blocked, outlined so they can been seen easier) https://twitter.com/tylerlansdown/status/476208734570430465
- Block button
- "Background use mainly for propelling characters" https://twitter.com/noobde/status/476215129378275328
- Character specific intros
- X-Rays (could be 2 separate bars of meter?)
- Run button?
- Multiple variations of each character

Scorpion:
- Has a fireball
- Sets himself on fire move (like his trait in Injustice)
- Hellfire that grabs the opponent
- Spear
- Different variations (one allows him to use swords)

Sub-Zero:
- Ice ball
- Has a backwards slide and forward slide
- Ice clone (can be thrown)
- Ice puddle?
- Ice parry?

Bug lady:
- Fast advancing projectile?
- Air grab

Big/little:
- Can throw the little one as a projectile
- Has as Bane like charge

Might've missed some stuff.

Plus on block.
As long as there are no respawning watchtower drones, and no difference between characters like gadget and power, then I have no problem with interactables.

They were never the real problem with Injustice anyway. Just a minor annoyance compared the overall gameplay flow.

These new "Interactables" seem to be a bit slower and more like attacks that need to be set up proper, instead of just running to them and throwing them as soon as possible like Injustice.

And most of them look to be movement based, which I love.

These new characters are fresh and interesting, better than anything I could have expected.

NRS fucking destroyed my expectation in the most amazing and badass way possible.

FUCKING YES.

THE HYPE IS REAL!!!!

DAY ONE MOTHERFUCKING MAIN.

To me it looks like a re-skinned injustice. The characters still have the stiff animations from previous games, I mean wooden animations, like they dont move naturally. There are the stage interactions as well, I even heard some sound effects from injustice, that meter mechanic sound. Not saying the game looks bad, graphically it looks great but the animations are stiff. Gameplywise it looks like fun but not something I would play competitively. Still gonna support it and buy it just to see the fatalities :) Oh and the giant with the midget on his back straight out of mad max sold me.

To be honest, MKX is exactly what I was expecting and then some.

I was expecting injustice/MK4 interactibles. I was expecting MK9 walk speeds. I was expecting more dynamic character design/builds like Injustice. But what wasn't expecting was the look and overall feel of this game.

Boon wasn't lying when he said it would be more cinematic.

From last week's the teaser trailer I was getting a horror vibe from the intro/outro theme (the non-hip hop parts) that was playing there, and I must say that the GP trailer didn't disappoint in that aspect at all. The game felt dark, and brooding, and horror-esq, all like the darker parts of MK, but at the same time it felt new and fresh and honestly a little foreign. At first I could barely see the MK references in there; the "bug lady" and the brute seriously look like something straight out of Tao Feng, but I want to / am willing to let this rock and see exactly where NRS is taking us.

MKX is looking like it could have the potential to be the best MK yet.

I think it LOOKS great, but I don't know about the interacting stages. This is one of the main reasons why I hated Injustice, it just was stupid. I just hope MK doesn't change too much like they did after MK3, which is when the series started declining, until they went back to basics with MK9, and is why I love that game. Don't over complicate this game with stuff like that. There's a reason why MvC and SF stay so popular in the FG community, they don't have any gimmicky shit like that in it.

Again though, I haven't played it, so this is just based on what I saw on the trailer. I will still be buying this game, because I want to support MK and the community. And if it ends up being awesome and the stages aren't that big of an issue. I will be the first to admit I was wrong.

Sub zero has a frost parry? That's tight. Also I'm excited to be playing footsies and not chasing characters down

Also bug lady's strings where her extra limbs come out look tight
