Nobody gets as F****** ANGRY at games as ME!

What a pussy! You think that's raging? I taught myself how to rebuild Sony controllers (and make minor repairs to Sony systems), I've thrown remotes through $1000 tvs, smashed remotes and a variety of other articles simply because they were in arm's reach. The highlight for me though was when my neighbours called the cops on me because I was yelling and swearing so loud that they thought I was beating a woman that didn't exist in my apartment. Or the Christmas Eve I raged so bad that I trashed my living room and my neighbour knocked on the door to see if I was alright because it sounded like a brawl.

But like someone said in this thread, you may want to go and talk to someone. I mean, salt is normal but you want to make sure that's all it is.

Dude, when you feel the rage( and i assume it's mostly because of the online lag) Just turn off your console. It works.

These are words from a man who completely destroyed 2 ps3 controllers, and many IKEA coffee tables.

The most impressive thing is the feeling and satisfaction you get when you realize you've just defeated your anger without destroying devices, or yelling and whatever.

Please do not listen to anyone saying you need anger management. Their points are valid but it only pertains to a small percentage of gamers. I have broke controllers, punched walls, doors and pillows, slamming my fists on my desk making all shit fall down. Not all the time though. I work at the airport which is super stressful and been in a relationship for 7 years and let me tell you that ive gotten real pissed at work and at my fiancé but I never did anything physical in any of those situations. Dont worry about it too much unless the anger bleeds into your real life. Most of us here on TYM are here for you.

Also for anyone who says getting mad at video games is childish then you obviously are closed minded. I could go on and on to explain but most people will just argue which ill pass on.

The saltiest i've ever gotten playing Injustice was throwing my controller in the air, smacking the ceiling only for it fall back on my hands and catching it lol.

Aaaaalright, maybe that's a VERY bold statement in the title and to some perhaps an outrageous claim to make!

My Xbox is set up in my room and everyone in my house can hear me when I play some Mortal Kombat online... God damn they can hear me. I'm stamping. I'm punching. I'm yelling (and damaging) my voice. But most importantly I'm breaking things. And no less than 10 minutes ago I broke my TV remote, as you can see in this picture:

The problem for me is that my Xbox and computer both use my TV as a monitor so I can't switch between them! It's forever stuck on the channel for my Xbox.... well it would be if I didn't have a second TV in the back with a compatible TV remote.

I wanted to see if anyone has broke or damaged anything and is willing to admit their anger problem haha :p

So make fun of me below and/or post images of your damages! :)

Stop playing video games.

Ok, well, Im here to not sugarcoat man.

This is a more serious problem than just video games, itll follow you for your entire life and you seriously have to learn to supress it because its also extremely destructive in a relationship and especially never good in a workplace where even a little stress is involved.

This mentality of getting angry to the point of violent actions commonly is caused by being spoiled in childhood or might be hereditary. Either way Id suggest looking more into whyd you turned out this way to fix the problem because it does come off very childish to onlookers.

This attitude also is usually accompanied by commonly casting blame instead of internalizing what you could do personally to prevent an undesired situation and also instead of empathizing (putting yourself in others shoes to get to know who they are as people and why they do the things they do).

Again dude, just getting real. I hope your on the path to better yourself. Maybe you should just stay away from competitive enviroments like online gaming for a while, because if this is as common as youre suggesting then it might be doing harm to you mentally.
I understand what you're saying. But I can guarentee you I was not spoiled in my childhood, quite the opposite actually. My dad has anger issues as well and I take a lot from him and I've saw him as a kid being angry so maybe it's something to do with that.

I can handle getting trounced if the match's "fair" (no lag, no stick malfunction or other hiccups and depending on the hiccups I'll just laugh it off).

But if I lose in less-than-ideal conditions that I did not inflict on myself... The salt. So much.

Just last night I almost busted my lagless and my stick due to how salty I was.
If I lose t0 a good player under fair conditions I don't rage, it's when it's not fair and there's nothing I can do to overcome it that I get angry.

I've come to grips with online...for the most part. Doesn't make me salty anymore, just annoyed. Most of the time I even get mad at a game, it's usually just something legit stupid...and I just RQ before I break something lol.

I'm not as bad as I was in my CoD days but it's normally something stupid that I get angry for.

Pics or it didn't happen :joker:

I used to fix Xbox's, controllers, everything. Even Jtag a sytem or flash a drive - I used to be really into that stuff. I ended up taking parts from multiple broken controllers and building a controller from the scraps of other controllers. It was pretty fun and therapeutic :p

Thanks man I appreciate your kind words and understanding. I know not to listen to the lovely folk telling me to get anger management, because I know me better than they do. I know I am a really nice guy in real life and it's hard to make me angry in real life like these games do. I didn't get physical when my girlfriend broke up with me after cheating and lying - I simply started seeing one of her friends and now I'm happy with her ;)

I've had that feeling man, it's great - but sometimes it's hard to just supress anger when it's been a long day.

*reconsidering sending you a friend request for MK...

I get pretty pissed, but I would NEVER break something like that... that shit's expensive (well, tv remotes probably not so much... but breaking games, controllers, etc... yeah, expensive)
Don't worry, if you make me mad from beating me (You're not a randomer so I won't) then you'll just hear my mic unplug :p

If I'm mad enough to stomp the floor (my usual salt move along with calling MMH broken) I pop in Titanfall which is such an easy game to be good at, calms me down. And if I'm getting a string of bad teams in Titanfall I pop in whatever single player game I'm currently playing.

This pretty much sums it up for me. If I'm playing someone I KNOW is fully capable of beating me, I don't really get pissed. Frustrated/Annoyed, sure. But I don't flat out rage.

Sounds good, but I'm soooo finished with FPS games now! :p
